    Ha, I have a bunch of those scars on my arm. Oddly enough they are all on my right arm. All from different occasions too. Those goddamn branches, but leaves me with a sense of "that was a kick ass ride" :cool::D

    Then sometimes it makes me wonder how many others have gotten abrasions from that same tree branch or bush... :eek:

    Around here, we have Manzanita bushes. I swear, they'll reach out and rip you off the bike.

    Hey Ian where are some local biking spots around here? I know of a few little places, but would always be up for knowing some more.

    Los Gatos Creek Trail to St. Joeseph's and back down. Overgrown (Limekiln), Russian Ridge (great views)--right near 35 and Page Mill.

    What kinds of trails are you looking for?

    Yeah, I hear ya. I got my Giant which was way out of my budget, but now I strive to justify the need. This bike is certainly not holding me back, quite the other way 'round.

    I hit a local trail near my house and I must say I wasn't really prepared for what I went through. The trail wasn't difficult I just was not ready since I am just starting it. Definitely was fun and will be out again soon!

    ok, i went tubeless about 6 weeks ago using "stan's no-tubes" sealant.

    i open up the front tire today to add another ounce, because i figure it should be replenished every to often.

    this is what i found................:confused::eek::confused::eek::confused::eek::eek:

    i guess, as it is rolling though the tire, it is getting solidified.

    kind of looks like a piece of coral, but it is rubber and very bouncy. it is just smaller than a ping pong ball.

    freaked me out when it came rolling to the bottom of the tire as i broke the bead.

    this also belongs in the WTF thread

    Single speed full rigid steel. In 1982 Redline had a 24in BMX. I wanted one but didn't get it. Now, middle aged, I built a 26in version of the bike. Doesn't look like much but has a beefy wheelset, xt hubs, salsa fork, and Juicy 3 disks. I'm running a 32-18 tooth

    I usually ride a Cannondale 29r but built this to play with. I've rode it quite a bit and it's fun. It really makes you do what your supposed to better.

    That is very strange. Ive been running tubeless tires/rims + stans for over 2 years and havent ever encountered that. Must be the heat there.
