Broken pedal Riding this weekend led to drinking this good stuff.. Time to prep the bikes for my upcoming bike trip... Mammoth, Northstar, Tahoe trails, Downieville, Santa Cruz and Big Bear..... Which is all prep for a Whistler trip in August.

It felt like my foot was sliding off my pedal, fortunately I caught it before it got ugly.. I'm running Deity Skyscraper v2's. Nice lightweight, grippy pedals but this is now the second issue I've had with them.. time for a change. Sadly I'm running them on my dh bike too

damn thats the worst! i hate when something performs well but quality doesn't keep up. I've never run any deity stuff but i've always thought that they made solid parts

For the most part I like Deity stuff and generally don't have any issues.. But I've now had two spindle issues with these particular pedals. My shop is getting them to warranty the pedals and replace them with their new Bladerunners. In the meantime, I bought a set of Spank Spike pedals for my trip. Important thing to note, the spikes do not really work with crank boots. I have carbon cranks, so crank boots are a MUST, especially for our rocky trails out here... Gonna have to work for now though.

Hey guys im just curious, do yall know of any component manufacturers that do things like pro deals? I want to start upgrading and replacing worn things but could only afford to do that if I had a place I could get deals.

Are you a pro? Pretty sure that's the only way you could get a "pro" deal? Aside from that, your best option to get great deals would be to work at a bike shop. Of course the trade off with that is lower wages..

Best of luck to you!! Also try scouring the web for deals. Places like theclymb.com and steepandcheap.com can be gold mines but the selection can be limited.

Yeah, keep an eye on price point and you can get some decent deals. Speaking of price point...

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago at about 50% off, great bike so far!

Kinda wet, slippery rocks, slippery roots, slippery pedals, slippery muddy tires made for really tense hill country trials ride this past wknd. Survived without incident. Still fun stuff.
