Anyone got an idea where to get some bed rack fork locks for transporting your bike/s? I am thinking I am probably gonna go with Thule or the Factory Toyota one. Any suggestions?

Isn't the Thule insta-gator a bit much? I see the Rocky one and the Yakima one. I guess its just time to suck it up and find two of them for my bike and my wifes bike.

Just throw a thick drop cloth over the tailgate and hang the front wheels of the bikes sideways over the tailgate. Thats what I do and it works out great.

Might be but its super convenient. It is easily removable and works great. Most of the time it lives in the bed with a short cable lock around it to the D-ring. I have a Rocky mount also for the wife and daughters bikes because they are a lot cheaper and they don't ride with me much.

I had a Dakine gate pad for my Chevy and it worked great too. I didn't get one for my Tacoma because I didn't want the tire rubbing on my painted bumper.

I use a thick drop cloth and run it all the way down to the bumper. You can fold it so that it doesn't interfere with the tail lights too.

Where did you ride? I used to live in Georgetown, and the trail around the lake was a sidewall eater. Probably pretty tense when wet. City Park (local name, it's on the way down toward Emma Long Park) was tense even dry. But a lot of fun.

We have had some flooding here, but it finally slowed down enough to get a ride in last night. The Chupacabras on the Stache just laughed at the slick rocks.

Installed a KS LEV DX dropper post on my bike on Friday. I freaking love that thing. I just need to figure out why it seems to stick after sitting in one place for a while.

Buddy lives on top of hill in Wimberley.
That week we rode Pergatory creek near San Marcos and some city thing in town that winds up at Blue Hole. The 2nd place was just to stretch legs and shed mud from the first place. We ride Madrone Trail at Canyon Lake too since it's closeby. Places to ride in every direction within an hour drive. Another buddy lives in Lago Vista and that's when we do Georgetown, Emma Long, Pace Bend and countless other places within 2 hr drive from there....Kerrville, Bandera, etc etc etc. Been riding up in Austin area trails since early 90s. I do like camping but it is damn nice to have places to stay up there and focus more on riding aspect of the trip. Less crap to pack/unpack too. Any trails up there get tense when wet. I don't wanna fall in cactus and rocks. Where I live is more dirt roots bushes over here so there is less peril when wet. Much smaller price for trying to have too much fun. I like both tho, potential disaster does make a good training tool for honing your skills and having respect for what can happen. I just don't have the time and body parts to spare at this point to be on any red bull olympic medal kind of riding mission and not doing this to make a living so I respect gravity and what it can do to us frail humans in these conditions. I've been slapped around by it enough in my past to know it's wrath.

Nice, we had some friends that had a weekend home out there on some land. Beautiful country, I miss it. But, the hills here SW of St. Louis are beautiful, too, and I have 4 good places to ride within 15 minutes, so I am not complaining. Yet. I will be back someday.

No doubt. My last 2 big offs resulted in bruised ribs. They take a while to heal. I ride for fun, fitness, and probably most of all, mental health.

My new bike has a KS Lev Integra, and it is a bit sticky as well. The online documentation says it will be sticky if left in one position for a long time. I put some Tri-Flow around the seal and cycled it a few times and that seemed to help a little.
