    Yeah.
Keep in mind you have to get cables AND cable housings. The Jagwires are good housings, cables are usually specific to your shifters/brakes.

The jagwires that I've bought come with housing. They also typically have both brake and shifter cables. I have too many brake cables lying around since I never use them.. Hydro brakes ftw!

What do you guys recommend for a good XC 29er tire. I am currently running RocketRons and they are working well but wearing a little fast. Not running tubeless in this set and have been plagued with pinch flats unless I run like 38psi min. My new set will be tubeless!

Here in AZ, I love my Continental Race Kings, tubeless around 20-23 PSI.

    Yeah.
Trek hired a good tire designer, so I have been partial to the Bontrager line. I run XR3's around here, but the XR2 may be better for your terrain.

Tire opinions are totally that.. Opinions. Everyone has their favorite. It mostly comes down to type of terrain and how much grip you want. Gripper tires tend to not last as long because they are softer rubber.

155-165 give or take, all depends on if in race shape or off season shape. LOL I've run them in the 18-20 range kind of all depends.

I ended going with Maxxis Ardents front and rear. It seems that is what a lot of people are running where I ride and the local bike shop said they take to tubeless well. We will see next weekend when I get out again.

I have my front tire running orange seal now. I have stans in the rear tire. They are the same model and age tire. So far, orange is winning the longevity test.

Whats with all the long travel bikes?
Suspension is cool but I rode this weekend on an '87 Raleigh Edge w/o suspension and it made me remember how to pick a line rather than just 'ride over it'.
My elbow was a casualty though - a small price to pay for the fun I had!20150808_183614.jpg

thats a nice gift the trail gave you haha. my commuter/around town trail bike is a singlespeed rigid redline monocog. its such a fun bike for the trails we have in town and riding to class but there is no way I could ride it out in the mountains. my fitness would never let me haha

edit: here is a pic from this past winter, ive probably already posted it in here but oh well

Don't say that, I started out at 257 pounds and now I'm down to 228 pounds. Just gotta keep at it, even if it means going slow as molasses (like me at times).

nice! im definitely working on the fitness, its not great but its decent. hopefully ill be able to get back into it quickly, i haven't ridden in a few weeks. i just prefer gears in the mountains. with gears climbs can average half an hour, i wouldn't be able to average keep up a good cadence, with a single speed, that wouldn't wear me out for the fun parts haha
