Uh oh, I think I know where that is. Walnut Creek Park? I miss that place, at least a little. Just don't hang out in the back parking lot. Unless that's your thing, anyway.

Fat bike is acquired, need to sell the hated road bike to cover the cost. I got the Trek Farley 5 with the huge Barbegazi tires. But now the snow is all melted and the weekend is supposed to be relatively warm! Oh well, I need to wash my truck, and I'm waiting on some stuff to do the tubeless conversion and drop 3-4 pounds in tube weight. Pics when I get it set up.

WTF are they doing? Is the pump/dirt jump area still there? They were always threatening to knock it down, but it wasn't very accessible to any equipment capable of doing it.

 

Construction of putting at 12 foot wide paved trail through the place is what happened. Some of the fun small downhill lines by the power lines are gone, strava segments were destroyed from that section turning into a slab of concrete and a good portion of the double track was blocked due to the construction vehicles being parked there. Benn going on for about 2 years now

 

Been browsing for a bit tonight. There are some awesome bikes in here! I have a road bike but have regretted it ever since I moved back to Wyoming. Anyways, I have been having engine trouble and was ready to buy a cheapo car until I could get it fixed. A friend pointed me to the Mongoose dolomite...a cheapo fat tire. I laughed at the idea but it quickly warmed up on me since I have wanted one to take on trails in the winter and let the dog run. I am not a serious biker and it will mostly be used to commute to school/bars where I won't have to worry about someone stealing it like I do with my road bike. Probably take it on the lake ice fishing to mess around when the bite is dead.

Ordered it today, $200 for entry into the fat bike world and a $15 to get the gearing set up better for the hills around here. Don't really plan on doing anything other than a custom rattle can paint job.

After 5 broken alloy nipples (what a PITA running tubeless) had the rear wheel rebuilt with brass. I'm becoming a expert at installing Bronson tires.

 

My shock arrived today for my Delirium. Frame should get here tomorrow.

Frame arrived!!!! Gonna order fork from Push next week. Should have all built by end of month. Can't wait to ride it.
