It was kinda funny today- I was sitting under a tree eating an ice cream like my fat self, get up and turn around when I'm done and there she is a couple feet behind me. I'm not normally too shy, but seeing people like her, Gwin, and Graves among others multiple times in a couple days is leaving me star struck.

No, I'm not. It's original though. I love this bike. It's the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden.

Nice, I was checking out the HD3 at Sea Otter, may consider one as my next rig. On my HT, I have the tube velcroed under the seat. I saw that ibis made a small compartment that you can get for the area where your tube is. Can put other things there like food, tools, etc...

Willow Koerber has to be one of the hottest mtn bikers ever. I had the luck of watching her racing career blossom when I was
competing all up and down the east coast.

Overall, super happy with the HD3. I'm getting ready to install a Works Components angle set to slacken it out a bit more. The X2 is a game changer on the HD, such a great rear shock.
I am starting to get the new bike itch though...hmm, so many great bikes out there.

Im looking into getting into mountain biking. Any suggestions on a bike to buy, brand, or how to get into it? What other things should I be thinking about?

Just recently got into this sport, and just found this thread. Thought the Tacos and Bikes thread was the only one.

I have a GT Aggressor Pro Hardtail mountain bike. So far I love it and will be going sometime soon to test it doing downhill biking. Taking it out to Moab with me next week as well.

How much are you looking to spend? What type of trails are you looking to ride?

Your getting more for your money with the Norco. Looks to have a better parts spec.

I think the specialized are overall a little overpriced but at first I was leaning towards it because the bike shop in my town sells them. But I called other bike shops arround and when I talked with the shop that sells norco I was pleasently surprised with the superior specs for less money.
I guess it will come down to which one will fit me better. Thanks for your input

I stay away from bike shops that are brand loyal. They will push that brand even if the bike sucks.
Try to find small shops with cool guys who ride for the love and not the competition. I tend to stay
away from shops with owners and mechanics who think they are all pro riders.

While I know how true that is I can only take what is close to me and that means 3 bike shops in a 75km radius and they are all brand loyal...
I have only heard good comments about the shop I am going to tomorow, I want to try the charger but they dont have my size on hand sadly.

Picked up this stumpjumper fsr recently, upgraded components, and put my roof rack on a hitch cargo basket because I couldn't get the bike on top of my lifted taco! :rofl:IMG_9839.jpg IMG_9837.jpg

Not really sure is there a big difference in a bike between spending $400, $700, or 1,000? As far as trails are concerned, I really don't know. I know very little on this stuff and would like to learn more.
