That bike would work so much better if you just ship it to me. I guarantee it wouldn't have any problems. :anonymous:

I hate you for having this. *ashamed in jealously*

Truthfully this is the best bike I have ever rode. This or the Santa Cruz Hightower.

Thanks. Any suggestions on pads? I bought these over the winter, when I was grabbing other things, only to realize that they didn't fit.

Not sure why, because it said it fits Deore. But the fins don't let the pad sit in the caliper. So to avoid that again, if you have a good pad to try, I'll try them.

Posting a pic of your brake pad would be helpful but I believe it's the ines without the cooling find.

    Yeah.
Agree, try new pads first to see if it is a contamination problem, but I will say that I can tell a BIG difference between the Deore and the XT. For some reason bike companies are skimping on the brake spec on even their middle ranges. I went for one ride on my Fuel EX8 27.5+ last year, came home and ordered XT's. It was flat-out dangerous to ride. Completely different bike with the XT's on it. Pretty inexpensive upgrade.

Sorry I was busy all weekend. I'll be riding this week, so I can post a pic if needed. But basically ya the pads I ordered won't fit with the cooling fins.

    Yeah.
Jenson doesn't have their compatibility list right. It lists the same brakes for the ones you posted a link to as well as the F01 pads, and I know for sure they are different. I have the XT M785 on one bike and it takes the F01, and the XT M8000 takes the ones you listed. Make sure you have the correct Deore model number and then check Shimano's site or another site to make sure you get the right pads. It's probably not the fins, just the model.

    Yeah.
OK, bored at work, so did some hunting. The newer Deore M6000 can apparently accept the ones with fins, but not the older ones. You probably need the G01S (resin) or G03 (metal).

OK awesome. I just threw the G01S set in my cart on Jenson. Once the refund me, then I'll just order those. Thanks for the help.
