cool. I was wondering if it wiggled around a lot or had play in it. that's the only thing that I don't like about hitch mounted stuff.

We just had a new bar open up that is nice and low key with good beer. It's called the Hidden Tap. And for food, Casa Blanca is usually good, and Rio Grande grill has great food and beer.
And we have a lot of new trails here if you are packing the bikes. A crew just finished up a new DH/flow trail in town that has been really popular.

It was solid. They had some sort of system that took all the slack out but can't remember how they did it.

    Awesome! Thanks for the tips.

We'll have our bikes with us. But after a 10 hour drive, we may not be up riding around.

Hey just wondering what people with a tonneau cover have done for a bike rack.

I have a tailgate pad which has worked well, but going camping in a few weeks so my bed will be full tonneau will be closed, now the question of where do the fmaily bikes go? looking at maybe a trailer hitch rack.

I just picked up a Kuat Transfer 2 (Transfer 3 also available for 3 bikes). It's not as fancy as the other Kuat racks, but it's less expensive and seems well built. I took it over the pass traveling around 70mph and I didn't notice any bouncing around.

Go with the RockyMounts Splitrail all the way! Well built, no annoying wobble, super solid.

Deore's are great brakes but you may have a bad brake( it happens on occasion) or the mechanic you took it to doesnt know how to tune/bleed brakes. personally id go to another shop or 2 and ask them is they can make it feel more like you want it. I personally wont buy anything but Formula brakes because i like how I can dial them into switches without any modulation(lever pull), i onl have to move my lever an 1/8th on an inch and they will lock up.
magura and avids have never had a good product in my book. i wrenched for 5 years a a shop and have done it on my own for many more and have only seen maybe 10 pairs of avids that worked worth a crap. ive heard the this years magura's have changed a lot for the better but i still cant bring myself to try them, i was even given a pair of the mt8's to try and just couldnt do it.
if you havent resolved the issue yet id look at the Formula RX brakes after you try swapping the rotor and pads.

OK great. Thanks for all of the info. I do have the other pads but haven't swapped them on yet, as I was out of town. Hopefully I can get a ride in this week, if weather is decent. But ya, I know for sure that the brakes were bled and the lever feel is now much better than it was initially. It feels like it has grab, in the lever, but at the wheel it's just like a squeal and not much feel to it at all. So I'll try the new pads first and see what happens and then go from there. Thanks.
