I converter my turner sultan to 27+ and that is not a cross country bike at all anymore. I use it just for rough stuff, loose rock and sand. While it is a beast climbing the downhill riding is like no other. Biggest problem I had was finding the right tire pressure, that can make or break your ride. I settled better 15 and 17 for all around riding. Under 15 and I was hitting the rim on bigger drops and big rock impacts. Over 17 and it felt to loose or slippery, like I was losing the advantage of the larger tire.
    Edit: the sultan is dw-link

How much do you weigh and what size tires?

I'm 205 lbs on 2.8" Rekons. Last night I tried 15/16 but I think I can still go a little lower. It's going to be a process figuring it out. It's amazing how much even 1 psi can effect the ride on higher volume tires.

Kind of also depends on rim width, and the rim itself. And your trails and riding style. So yeah, it's a process. I was running 16 rear / 15 front on Duroc 40mm rims and kept burping the back tire on hard square-edges, so had to go up a little with those rims. I'm back down to this PSI on Industry Nine 45mm rims and think I might be able to go a little lower, but it feels good at these pressures (I am ~185 lbs., 2.8" Chupacabras).

I got a slow leak in my front tire when riding Keystone, so I would pump it up high before starting down. It was cool how as it went down you could feel it go from sketchy and slippery, to super grip, to starting to roll over on the rim. Unfortunately I didn't have a gauge or I would have stopped and checked when it got to that perfect feel. Oh, and I was having too much fun to stop.

I'm 165 with gear. The front is the Bridger 3.0.
I tried all the way down to 8 and as high as 25.
Keep in mind I use this bike just to bomb on real rough stuff, so under 15 and I was hitting the rim. I ride it once every month or so.

I picked up a little pocket sized pressure gauge. I'm just going to bring it along next time and really get it dialed in.

I have a feeling that it might come down to tenths of a PSI.

One thing I've noticed is that 27.5+ doesn't quite roll over obstacles as well as the wagon wheels did, but the bike is so much more playful that I don't care.

I think once you find the right pressure you will find it rolls over better but its slower. so you may be feeling more resistance from the low pressure

I'm really surprised at how well they roll, but the Rekons are known to have low rolling resistance, and my previous tires were DH tires, so it's not an apples to apples comparison.

^^^^^^Ripsnortin red..............digging the frame pack and getting every possible mm of travel out of the fork before tire touches the crown.

Might I suggest having Push Industries upgrade/rebuild/personalize your fork and shock? Did both of mine of my AnthemX 29er....world of difference. Very much worth it.
