Awesome man! I've taken a peek at some of their jobs before too. If you get a chance to bring your bike, let me know and we'll get out to ride!

its call Rider Support Manager. It's essentially their Sales / Customer Service role. Since they are Direct to Consumer and extremely customizable, its a very personable buying process

One of my bike shop friends just posted this article from Bicycle Retailer. Really good read.

Good read for sure -- I just posted similar thoughts on Pinkbike in response to the Intense news. Although, I do believe there is a need for some bike shops to serve the entry-level crowd with bikes -- those folks that don't want a Walmart bike but had no idea you could spend as much as $10K on a bike and think $800 is a high-end bike. But again, those folks could come in for some advice and measurements and just order online as well.

I just got a Remedy 8, knew the shop didn't have one and just went in to have them order it. They spent all of 10 minutes getting it into the computer, and, of course, the time the bike builder spent. The manager gave me all kinds of crap about giving me a 10% discount. "Are you on a race team? Why would I give you a discount?" Because I asked, jackass, and I know what the markup is. My last LBS always gave me 15%, I was just trying to start the relationship off on a good note. That one sale paid an employee for 2 weeks even with the discount and they didn't even have to work that hard for it.

I do like the mechanics, and I can tell they think the manager is a jackass, too. He'll come around, they always do.

No rain in the forecast for at least the next week in WA. Looking forward to ripping dry trails and not getting drenched in mud

Man, I have to say that Bontrager's tubeless system is the best. Used it before and it was great, then messing with tape and wide rims, and retaping, and retaping again. Mounted up new tires on some Line 30's last night with a hand pump, took all of 15 minutes for both wheels and still at pressure this morning.

Bontrager tires on bontrager wheels are great. I had continentals on one wheel set and they were the hardest things to mount and get the bead set. Mounted bontrager tires and no issues setting them up.

I just mounted Maxxis Rekon+ in the 2.6" width on the stock Line 30 rims that came on my Remedy, so brand new tires on brand new, clean rims. But soooo easy. I've been running the 2.8" I swapped over from my Fuel, and I just couldn't go down to the 2.4" that came on it. But I think this bike might work better on 2.6". Going to give it a shot. The Remedy likes to go fast and fly, and I think the 2.8's were slowing it down a bit.

I’ve never used tubeless maxxis tires haha. I’ve thought of 2.6” too but I haven’t been riding enough to justify it haha.l

I actually mounted the 2.8" Maxxis Rekons on my Backcountry 450/i9 wheelset. Those were much more difficult to get to seat, while the Bontrager Chupacabras went on without a problem. Granted, I took the tires out of the package and immediately mounted them, probably should have unpackaged them, unfolded and let them sit for a bit. Seemed to be having air leakage where the creases in the bead were. They eventually seated, but not without a lot of wiggling and cursing. One of the tires has some uniformity issues, thought my rim was out of true but it was perfect still -- tire has a slight wobble to it. Haven't checked the 2.6's yet, but they are just the standard 3C/EXO casing. Hopefully they are a bit more uniform. Have never used anything but Bontrager and Maxxis on MTB (well, there was Tioga in the olden days).
