    Yeah.
Fork is the big difference between the two. IMHO, 160mm is a bit much for a hardtail, especially if you are just starting out. An experienced rider might make use all of the travel, but long-travel hardtails are kind of a niche thing. Look for one that you can put + tires on -- 2.8" tires on 27.5 or 29" wheels, and at least 120mm of travel, but 160mm is overkill if just starting out.

I'd agree. It's just over the top. My steel hardtail (2016 Spot Rocker) came with a 120mm Reba that lasted a year and a half before I swapped out to a 140mm Pike. I ride that bike really aggressively on some techy stuff and honestly couldn't really imagine bumping up over 140mm.

Just watched the Singletrack Sampler review of a new Diamondback. Looks like a VPP setup. Should be pretty cool!

That is an insane spec for 2830. Great work.

Where did you get your wheels built? And what was the price if you don't mind me asking? In the market and that's the exact setup I was going for.

Thanks man. I researched the crap of this for the best bang for the buck.
    The wheeels are from https://www.coloradocyclist.com/

$519 for the set. They had a %10 off over Christmas. maybe still do. You really can’t beat their prices.

*just checked and they still have 10% off. Code is WINTER

Ah, nevermind. I built up a Land Rover D1 and that was a common forum. I wheeled with a guy once with Rockware buggy at a Land Rover event. Saw your signature

D'Web was short for DiscoWeb. Primarily Discovery guys but a few Defenders would run around with us

There's always one of you guys, I run a camper shell most of the time, just happened to have it off for that picture. Bike does not fit in the shell.
