How ya likin those $20 lights? I dig'em, got 6 different sets of them in varying lumens. They kick ass over any other $300 nightsuns I had and tiny batteries hold up great, even on the 3400 lumen one with 3 LEDs in it. Always pull 3+ hrs of bright.

Anyone have any idea what a Quintana Roo Kilo would be worth? It was given to me by my sister in law, Seems like a pretty good tri bike, but its pretty old.

Ok so far I have found out it is a 1996 Quintana Roo Kilo special reserve.7095E761-1883-4BA9-B650-C7A545175729.jpg

Besides the cool name, that is a pretty cool bike. Looks like it was pretty high-dollar in its time, but BBB says $400 tops for it now.

So I posted my bike a page or 2 back. I converted my Kona Process 111 from what it’s supposed to be (29er) to a 27.5......and it rocks!! However my research was with 2.8 tires. All I had to base my initial opinion on was my 2.6 Maxxis Minion DHF’s. I just got my 2.8 WTB Trailblazers in the mail which is what the thread I based my build on. We’ll see how it rolls hopefully this weekend. My initial impressions on how it looks isn’t as squishy as I’d thought I’d be.....image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I may need some opinion on sizing. Considering new 2018 Scout, but having a hard time deciding between M and L frame. I feel like I'm stuck between sizes. Closest and only Nukeproof dealer is 1500km from here so can't really test ride one. I'm 5'9" with 31" inseam.

Base the size more on what top tube length you prefer. For the most part that’s what matters in sizing. I am 5’9” and usually go large to get a longer reach and keep the lungs more open.

I have a '14 Trance with 425 reach and 760/60 handlebar and stem combo. Feels ok, but if anything thought I may like a bit longer bike next time. Also have '16 Sasquatch fatbike with 428 reach and same 760/60 combo. This one always felt just a bit roomier somehow even if numbers are almost identical. Could be HT vs FS and I may have saddle in a slightly different position. Just measured ETT of both, Trance is 595 and Sasquatch 610.

Medium Scout is 425 reach 610 ETT which matches closely to what I'm riding now. Large Scout has 450 reach and 637 ETT. Both come with 800/50 handlebar and stem. I will most likely cut down to my preffered 760 which should in turn put me in a more upright position. I do have a spare 45mm stem in my parts bin and don't have an issue shopping for 30 or 40mm one if needed. Seems like thats the trend anyway. So with those possible adjustments I'm leaning towards L, just wanted some opinions on my reasoning.

Boom. Look at that. You have all the numbers to make a good decision. Enjoy your new bike!

I would give advice, but I can't remember what my bike felt like before I changed the stem and handlebars... 6'0", large.

I know several folks have already replied, but this bike is WAY overpriced. And I’m not sure any of the “upgrades” are in fact upgrades. My wife bought a new aluminum Rockhopper about 15 years ago, with Deore or LX derailleurs (better than Alevio), though it had Avid (cable) disk brakes not Shimano, and I think she paid $600 brand new. Good bike, I upgraded it to hydraulic stoppers last year, and she commutes on it. But not a $500 mountain bike in 2018.
