Not sure that is possible on my DeVinci, need to do some research. I think the back would be OK clearance wise, but I'd need a new Boxxer lower fork for sure.

Honestly for what I use it for (PARK!), it works perfectly. I just bought it second hand last november off KSL and have ridden it like 4 times so far. BUT thats gonna change now that Deer Valley opens this weekend!!! Thinking of making a trip to Trestle via GJ/Fruita as well.

If you come ride DV and Park City, let me know! I got a couch you can sleep on.

I also have a wedding in WA over labor day, so this is a tempting trip:

Walla Walla. But I have family in Everett, so its just a short jump from there to B-ham as a day trip. But its so close to Whistler that I feel compelled to at least consider it.

I used to live in the Renton Highlands a few years ago, like 5 mins from Tiger Mtn, but that was in my pre-biking days.

onion country, nice! you should absolutely consider whistler, even if it's the only spot you ride on that trip. i've yet to ride in Bellingham but i'm hoping to change that this summer.

DE3D5BC1-AFED-410C-9AB3-65716EA70CA4.jpg I got the 46 tooth sunrace cassette from Amazon. So far no issues and combined with my 30t ring up front it makes my 26” climb like a billy goat.

Some nice rigs here! I'm getting back to MTB after some time off. Here's my '05 Specialized Enduro. Rode up at Sky Park at Santa's Village in Lake Arrowhead, California for the first time a week ago. So fun! Now it's time to upgrade the bike. Wish I could afford a whole new bike. :(

It may be old, but looks like it's outfitted pretty well. Maybe a refresh on the shock and fork. Just ride it!

Definitely! Most likely convert it to 1x10 setup next then fork and shock, since those two are little more pricier upgrades.

I'd just get what you have rebuilt. The rear is easy to do yourself and parts are super cheap - good instructions on the Fox site, and YouTube videos galore. If the front is still working well, just an oil change and new seals and foam rings should do it. Ride it and save your money for a new 27.5 or 29er rig down the road.

Cool. Will check out my options! Is there a big difference going with 27.5 or 29? I've never rode those sizes before. I could check out rentals at the bike parks

I would say yes, there is a difference. How big kind of depends. But try to find a new 26" mountain bike. Walmart may be the only place to find one these days, and even their "better" bikes are 27.5 or 29.

That's kind of why I suggest just fixing up what you have for the least amount of money. You've got what was a great bike in its time, with good components -- just tune them up and enjoy riding it. Any money invested in large upgrades would be better spent on a new ride.
