    Yeah.
It's a gem, and I lucked out on home location (for what I wanted). Nice house on a circle in the very back of a subdivision on .79 of an acre, with one side open to woods and unbuildable empty lots next to me (well, they are buildable, but they only have about 15 feet of level ground before dropping off at a 45 degree slope -- maybe not a problem in CA, but too expensive for the market here). Less than 3 miles from work, and trail options within 15 minutes in every direction. Cool, mellow country vibe -- reminds me of Austin TX back in the 80's. Most of the video showed the heavily groomed trails, but there's also a lot of natural stuff around, and they don't heavily modify the natural terrain.

And then there's the Ozark NF just south for taking the Taco out for run, free camping all over the place.

Wait, Arkansas sucks. Ya'll should avoid it.

Well you asked to see our Mountain Bikes.... This Canondale has served me well and has been there and back outside a few flats never had any issues it has survived many trips in a shipping case been across the Ocean twice one time in cargo hold of a ship and other time in plane only issue I had with it when it was shipped by plane was the hydraulic brake seals popped on the rear brakes but it was a easy fix and Yes those are the original Carbon Fiber Spin Wheels.

Oh come on! it is not that old it is a Canondale Super V 900 full suspension hybrid down hill bike 1998 build I purchased the bike new in 99 and mod it from there with Prototype on the fly adjustable seat height system (change the seat position and height in middle of ride) added hydraulic brake system to deal with the water and mud picture is what it looked like when first got it

Oh scroll back up a few lines and see the pictures there.... the wire spokes did not last long on the down hill runs due to the abuse.

Forgot to post, here's the bike I picked up from CL. I e had it for about a month now.
    20181108_142837.jpg

I've been having problems lately with ghost shifting and I thought a tuneup would fix it but I guess not. It only happens when I'm in lower gears in the back. Still new to the whole gear thing so maybe I'm doing it wrong? Anyways it's a pain in the ass because when Im pushing uphill or even on a flat surface it sometimes skips and my feet loose grip causing me to have to stop. Anybody have any advice?

By skipping a gear I’m guessing it goes into a harder gear? How old is the chain? Does it shift into gear completely or does it immediately feel like it going to drop onto a smaller ring?

If you just got a tuneup at a good shop it should be shifting fine. Basically from what I know it could be either a worn out chain, the limit screw on the rear derailleur isn’t set correctly, not enough tension on the cable (adjust from the barrel adjuster on the shifter), or maybe a bent derailleur hanger.

Personally if the tuneup was done recently, like the last week or so I’d take it back to the shop and tell them something is wrong. A good shop should at least be able to find the issue.

Edit: could also just need to clean and lube the chain, which I doubt because of the tuneup, unless it was a new chain then it probably needs new lube.

    Yeah.
What the previous poster said, but also check your rear suspension pivots. Flex due to loose bolts or worn out bearings could be an issue, but typically only under heavy pedaling load.

Idk if that's a good or bad thing. I plan on replacing so.e parts when I have the cash. I just needed a decent bike to get on the trail and this was in the price range.
Tuneup was done yesterday. It's an older bike. I dont know when anything was replaced on it.
I do notice it ghost shifts when I'm putting my weight on the pedal

I would take it back and have them take a look unless you’re comfortable playing with it. Honestly a good shop wouldnt have given it back if it’s shifting poorly.

I think Pinkbike.com has some good tutorials for setting limit screws on the derailleur and adjusting the cable tension if you’re curious though. Probably a lot on YouTube too.

    Yeah.
Yeah, but most shops mess with the shifting on a bike stand, spinning the cranks by hand, no load. They might actually test ride it, but usually I just see them put it on a stand and adjust. If it shifts well on a stand, it's probably adjusted correctly and there's something else going on. Binding cable, flexing frame, maybe even a rear hub issue. While maybe a bit dated, that's a good bike, worth figuring it out.

That’s true. I had it easy with a shop that would test ride the bikes before they finished up. Maybe they just liked me though haha
