This is a pretty comprehensive video on how to adjust a rear derailleur:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkZxPIZ1ngY

In the furture for the B-tension in particular, you can just look up the manual for your derailleur online and see what the gap should be. A little more straight forward than doing the indexing.

I do most of my bike maintenance myself these days, but when I did get something fixed at a shop I would ride it around in the parking lot right after I picked it up so that way if it wasn't right I could tell them right there.

I’m gonna do it myself next time for sure. I just like to watch and ask questions from the Pros the first time around with this bike stuff cause it seems easy to get it all out of whack if you don’t know what you’re doing lol.

Need to get a maintenance stand and some bike tools soon

I could change plans but idk what kinda rider you are and don’t want to limit you to my novice skills.

Thanks, I'm thinking of converting it to an offroad touring bike. I have a Jones H bar on order for it and a custom frame bag. I'm really enjoying long all day rides. Regular bars after 20 miles are hard on the wrists and arms. I did a 50 miler last year with it and was a bit uncomfortable. The bike itself is a joy to ride though.

Well I’m going. Gonna bring a cooler and snacks and probably spend all day there.

I think there’s a couple online waivers I gotta sign. Will be there around 7-8am.

If you see me just holler. I got no clue who else and how many people ride there. Can’t find a FB group dedicated to that trail which is stupid.
