I've done a mod or two
I've been building a set for my truck but it has been too cold to go out and put them in.

If you use peel and stick flexible led strips they can go anywhere easily. Mine is more underglow but fender wells, where the cab meets the frame, etc. It's easy. When it comes to actual pods I'm not sure how people install them though.

I think LED strips might be better than pods? Less profile and pretty bright. I don't know though

If you look at my pic again under the cab only has 1, 24 inch led strip on each side. Plus 2 in the grille if you care:D You could easily add a lot more. Mine are colormorph and is a led concepts system. It is controlled by a main deck and also has a remote to select every color in the spectrum if you ever feel a little wild. Here is the main controller.

I ended up with 12, 6 on each side. Have had two fail on me. Bought some on Amazon, some cheaper on ebay, seemed to be the same exact light. Not sure if the eBay or amazon failed, lol, but it was likely due to being submerged in mud/water when wheeling that did them in

12 at $5 a piece isn't bad at all! Plus if they fail a $5 fix isn't gonna break me :) thanks!
