After reading some of the VSC threads regarding lifts, will/do you think there will be an issue with the spindle lifts also. Info from anyone with spindles on a 09 and up? Thanks.

So far just minor trimming of the fender flare...its really close to the body mount though, might rub offroading at full lock. The flares trim really easy with just a razor knife so just been trimming a little at a time.

I have a 2008 Prerunner that I'm seriously contemplating lifting vice selling when I get back from deployment. I'm trying not to start my own thread with the handful of questions that I have, instead I'm trying to read every thread possible! Question, with a Spindle Lift, it seems like the front wheels are sitting quite a bit further out that the rear wheels? Agree? If so, has anyone tried to fix that with spacers on the back only? I'm assuming the only way to match a 4-6" Spindle Lift on the front would be to add a leaf pack PLUS a block on the rear, concur?

Ive never heard of anyone run spacers on the rear only.

for the rear to match the front height wise you can do an AAL plus a block or get a whole new 3" lift leaf pack. allprooffroad has them and are priced reasonable.

^A lot of the LT guys use spacer in the rear only. I know for sure NelsonMatt is using rear spidertrax. If your wider in the front due to spindles there would be no harm in running rear spacers to help match

Also I agree and would go with an all new leaf pack and try to stay away from blocks

Yeah I did it on my truck when I had it. They obviously didn't match up perfectly but it was close enough to look better.

Thanks, I won't know if I can live with the 1/2" wider front stance...both sides...till I see it actually on MY truck.

I've always planned on the Dakar spring pack, whether I did a Coilover lift or a Spindle lift, since I do almost ZERO off-roading. I tow the nieces and nephews around in snow covered fields when I'm back in the Midwest, the family and I drive to hard-to-reach beach spots here in SC, but that's about it. Now that I'm hell bent on the 4" Camburg lift, I'm almost thinking I might need that extra 1/4" the AP pack gives you over the Dakar...but I really want the Dakar since flex is not as important to me. Eh, maybe I'll add the extra spring for $55 giving me an extra 15mm or something.

Last question, since I was originally going to do an ICON coilover in the front, but now since the Spindle lift is already $1K, do you all think Bilstein's set at 0" would be a descent enough ride upgrade? Will Bilstein's work with the Dakar/AP leaf pack or will I need something with longer travel like OME/FOX/Walker Evans shocks in the back? Price isn't as important as quality and longevity for me, but the wife will have my behind if I spend too much, so I'm trying to keep it affordable for a pogue off-roader anyways!

I appreciate the response's fellow Prerunner owners, I know the answers are probably already here, but surfing the net on Afghanistan-speed internet is god awful painful.

Thats what I am running. I spoke with the the guys at Deaver and at Camburg. They both agreed that the set up was great for light off roading on a daily driver. My truck rides so smooth. The suspension actually gets better as it warms up. I have the front 5100's set at .85. One day down the road I will upgrade the shocks - I figure it will cost about +$1300.00 for the FOX coil overs and another $750.00 for the rear. Plus the Long travel LCA's and the glass and the....OK stop. But for now - Its a great set up.

Long travel LCA requires a long travel kit, can't just use those with stock length upper.

Are you talking about stock upper control arms?

    I was thinking:

Camburg 1.25 uniball upper control arms
2.5 Fox coil overs with remote res.
    Camburg Spindles
    Camburg Lower Control Arms
    Limit straps and Bump Stops
    All Pro Fiberglass fenders

Would that be a long travel set up?
