    Actually, this is true. Rap has its origins in minority groups but it is the sales by the majority that keeps rap profitable.

    I can't stand the music myself but to each their own, as long as I don't have to hear it and it isn't shaking my windows as you drive by. Last weekend, I was at the car wash detailing my truck, and this twenty-something white kid pulls up into one of the wash stalls and starts blaring his subwoofers and everyone else at the wash got treated to high-volume expletives and profanities. For the next fifteen minutes, all I could hear was F this, F that, bitches, ho's, n*ggas..etc..

    I think it is the thug and 'gangsta' mentality and image that is the appeal, not so much the music itself. They think others will think they are a bad-ass thug when they hear them listening to some rapper singing about 'busting a cap in someone's ass' because someone spilled his twenty-ounce.
