    I use a harbor freight moving blanket that costs $5 accompanied by some motorcycle tie downs. It works fine for a couple bikes and solves the issue of how to carry carbon full suspension bikes with a camper shell. The next best option is a real hitch rack that will cost a ton and require installation and removal every time you want to ride. I have one but it sucks taking it on and off for every ride.

    These are cool and all but these type of tailgate bike carriers are like having a bull bar for the rear of the truck. In minor fender benders, the bikes become damage multipliers. You'll end up with damaged bikes along with a damaged tailgate.
