    I don't have a snorkel (yet), but if the intake itself ices over, my concern would be lack of air for combustion, not ice making it into the motor. I believe stalling could happen due to lack of air.:notsure:

    Anyhow, truck looks good and it looks like a pretty good time was had.:)

    The snorkel should always face forward... Look up "Venturi effect"

    Facing forwards there is a 'ram air' effect that forces air into the snorkel, any water or debris that gets in too is collected on the back/inside of the head and drained/blown out the vents around the top of the snorkel tube, and the remaining 'cleaner' air ends up going down the tube. When those same heads are turned backwards instead of air getting 'rammed in', the backwards facing head creates a venturi effect instead, which means that all that crap/water etc gets sucked into the snorkel head without great velocity and then goes down the tube and ends up in the air filter - or maybe past it!
