I would say it is too high as well. I am more a fan of the style of roll bar in the fall guys truck. retro tv show from the early 80's. The roll bar has a piece from each side come out and down to the wheel well. Whatever you like is all that matters though. What you have looks beefy enough tubing size wise.

Please excuse my ignorance but with a roll bar, wouldn't the front of your roof get crushed if you're upside down? Why not protect the whole truck? Is there a big difference in pricing?:notsure:

I think it would look better if it was a little shorter.

Its not a real roll bar. Just meant for show. I dont plan on rolling over.:D If you want protection you really need a cage.

I agree it'll probably look better lower.

I wonder how it would look if you mounted 4 lights underneat the top bar keeping the bar that height? Just a suggestion, might look really good and unique

I say lower it, its way to tall. And keep it and be different from everybodys truck on here! I have only seen maybe 3-5 2nd gens with roll bars.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Yeah but the black spiderman hanging from the inside passenger handle is the ultimate winner.

That would be awesome. Looking for someone a little closer but if I have to then I have to. Its maybe 1/16th or 1/8 thick. I think it is closer to the 16th inch thick.

I would like to cut it down if I can find someone nearby that could do it for me with little charge (preferably just to help a tacoma brother out) but I have negotiation tools if people like fast food. I am in a financial pickle right now and my ultimate goal before doing any mods that cost a bunch of money is to pay off the truck.

Just teasin ya, brother. I have the Marvel Encyclopedia on my living room.

You could cut that bar down, the only problem may be that crossbrace ending up too long. If you wanted to be real slick, you could cut the uprights, put a slug in the top part and attach it to the bottom part with a through bolt. That way you could remove the top easily if you needed the clearance for some reason.

That one wouldnt have fit either though. I just need someone that could cut it down some and either weld or bolt it back. let me know if someone know someone that might be able to help.
