Got her home no problem. Couldn't wait to install my Equalizer 10K WD and tow mirrors before posting. Ride was a little bouncy but the WD should take care of that. Otherwise truck towed like a champ although I can see how Gas mileage is going to take a hit. :D

My daughter approves of the new rig as well.

I know this isn't much of a trailer, but I pull this around weekly. I am building a house and this is my pick-up and go utility trailer. I bought the frame for $100, it was an old boat trailer. I decked it with marine grade 3/4" plywood and made the side rails from 2x4's and 5/4" deck boards. The tool box was $75 from Lowes. It serves its purpose well.
I also have a 7'x12'x6'6" V nose enclosed trailer that I pull around with the Taco, and It trails very well. The truck doesn't seem to mind too much either.

Thanks :D, the trailer itself weighs about 1300 lbs.

    4610 dry. 5100 optioned out.

Towed it home this week. First real tow with my 2014 Tacoma. I have a brake controller and the Equilizer 4 point WD hitch installed. Other than that, its pretty much a stock truck.

The wife is a traveling nurse, and we are towing our house with us as we travel to assignments. Our plan is to tow it empty...very few clothes in it and no water in tanks. She'll follow in her car with all our "stuff", or at least most of it.

I spent several months reading and re-reading different RV, towing and Tacoma World forums for information on the right weights, etc. There are just about as many that say the Taco will tow anything as there are those who say that they wouldn't tow anything over 1000#.

I didn't want to get rid of my Taco and get a bigger TV...it didn't make sense to me to loose the gas mileage of the Taco (overall) over a larger truck, when all I would be doing is towing it to the campsite and setting it up for 13 week stints. The rest of the time, the Taco will be used as a car for running errands, going to work, etc.

So, we bit the bullet and bought the White Hawk. With some fear and trepidation, we started home on the 2 and a half hour drive back to the house. Our route took us on 2 interstates, one state highway, and some back roads with some inclines and descents.

I'll be honest and tell you, I knew that trailer was back there. But the Taco handled it well. I didn't get any sway at all, even when large 18 wheelers passed us. The gas mileage sucked, 10.5/gallon, but I expected that. No speed demon either, but who wants to tow at high speeds? I don't. I kept it between 55 and 60 mph.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at the Taco's ability to handle the load.

Man 1300 isn't bad at all, that's pretty light. I was thinking something similar to this would work well for towing a small tractor 3000-3500 pounds. Does the trailer have brakes too?

It has brakes on one axle. Brakes on both axles is ideal but I got a good deal on this trailer.
