    I have towed/hauled all kinds of things with my taco, it's never let me down and pulls like a dream. Not sure the weight of the bus but GVW on the RV is 5000lbs.

    Purchased. Socal Teardrops / Treeline Teardrops.

    They used to offer a semi-built kit (chassis delivered with all the CNC wood and aluminum and electrical strapped on top) for DIYs, and I was interested inthe, but they don't offer it anymore, because it became a huge customer service PITA.

    Treeline is in Petaluma, BTW, and Tom and Pati are awesome.

    I'd love one.. I don't think my height allows for it to be particularly comfortable though. I bet the customer support on the DIY kits like that would be a bit of a headache. Hard to make enough profit selling kits without labor charges and then spending hours on the phone on what I assume is unpaid support.

    Height shouldn't be an issue....unless you are unusually tall. Sitting up you'd have to be 4 feet tall to uncomfortable in most teardrops. Our homebuilt has enough headroom for me to kneel on the bed. You should rent one for a trip and try it on for size. It's a great way to camp.

    That teardrop is the coolest thing I have ever seen!

    I guess maybe I just have to wait 18 years for the kids to get out! :D
