You're not trying hard enough. :p

I've never seen 300f at the trans but have reached 245f at the torque converter on more than one occasion.

Nice Jayco! Is that the x213? That's what I tow. The truck does great in the mountains if you're not afraid to make it work a bit. You will want to keep an eye on your transmission temps though.

is that car FWD or AWD ? if its FWD, you should be able to tow it with the front wheels on a dolly. if its AWD, read the owners manual re towing considerations but odds are good you should have a flatbed trailer.

also with the front wheels on a dolly, if the back of the car has minimal ground clearance, then you might scrape rear stuff on driveways and such.

The Silver Bullet. Worked all season like a champ and now it's time image.jpg to pull it out of the river and store it in the yard for the winter. Who doesn't love a good work boat?

Nice looking trailer! Getting a 7x16 enclosed trailer for an 1800+ mile trip. Any advice or tips? How's the trailer and truck been for you? Thanks!

Nice trailer! Getting a 7x16 enclosed trailer here in a month or so. Any advice? It's an 1800 mile trip for me and I plan on making out on weight for a move. Trying to see if any ran into issues, solutions. Will be mostly interstate for me.

Definitely not a speed demon, probably do 60 mph most of my drive. Thanks for any input.

Thank you, absolutely will do! Considering a weight distribution hitch but the trailer is an aluminum one so I'm not sure if this will damage the metal. It will be a one time use, but the distance is what has me worried. Thoughts?

2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road 2wd. 2018 Airstream International Serenity 23D, with w/d hitch, brake controller, etc. Handles great. Trailer about 5000lbs; just did axle weights recently and everything is within factory recommended range. May upgrade to bigger truck in a few years as we do longer trips, but right now it's a good setup. This is the smallest, dual-axle Airstream.

Does it have an aluminum frame? You should base the choice of WDH on overall weight.

Go to Google and search second gen Tacoma transmission PID and you'll find the TW thread for second gens. I only know the third gen PIDs. You'll need a 15 dollar Bluetooth dongle and 5 dollar Torque Pro on an android device.

Yes, all aluminum and I'm assuming allnloaded will be close to 6000 lbs or a little more. Nice and easy for this long trip.

If the trailer is properly loaded, you are going to need a weight distribution hitch

Thank you! I was just worried about if it would damage the all aluminum tongue frame and didn't want to solve one issue and create another. Leaning toward one vs not.

Call the manufacturer and ask if you can run one

Weight distribution trailer hitches are great! I would not be concerned about metallic differences as the distribution hitch comes with hardware to match/mount so if you have an aluminum trailer and a steal distribution hitch the only concern would be the dissimilar metals for oxidation.

Thank you all! I have a "weigh safe" trailer hitch that I bought, wanted to ensure accurate tongue weight. Do you know if a WD Hitch is compatible with this? Also, any recommendations of WD hitches? I care not about the price, more so with quality. I've seen ones that use a process pulling the chain up with the arm and a new version (I think) that involves tightening the chains with a nut style mechanism. Make sense?
