Not bad at all. It’s no speed demon but it will hold 65 just fine. I was really surprised when I got it hooked up how good it did. Mileage sucks but you’re going to run into that with anything in this category.

    Please...please...please enlighten me!!!

How do I do it? When I first bought the trailer in 2011, I searched and searched and couldn't find any information indicating it was possible.

You may have made my day!

All you do is put spacer blocks between the axle and frame on each side of the vehicle.

Dexter makes blocks you can buy (look on their website) or you could build your own out of channel or square tube.

You don't want to go too tall - 2 or 3 inches should be OK.

Thought that was what I remembered reading before on how to lift those. Wanted to make sure before I said anything.

Thanks! I did some digging again, and you are indeed correct! They had nothing like that available when I first started looking and had even contacted Dexter directly and was told I was SOL. Maybe enough of us asked for them they finally decided to do something!

This will be a game changer for my rig! It sits so low right now!!!

The light hitch weight was one of the biggest reason for us getting a Lance. Mine is 380 lbs. with nothing up front. could not find a 4 season that I could still stay in the weight limits. Have to take the shell off to get under. loaded, full tank of gas, 3 dogs, no wife and I have 30 lbs.. With shell off, well still have not weighed it yet.

I just got back from a 6600 mile trip pulling the 1475. I was definitely over a bit. I traveled for a while with a full fresh water tank while boondocking in Texas. The truck and trailer were fine. I don't use a WDH and it towed perfect the whole time. The 4 season in the 1575 and 1475 is a new thing and I think I got the only one on the east coast.

When we got ours I picked it up in CA, but could not get possession until Nevada. But anyways on the way home I was thinking what the hell did I just do? dry weight, no extras, was supposed to be 4080. Driving home, I was, wow, this is really heavy, oh sit. Made it home and was going through everything thing. Bastards sent me home with 3 full 45 gal tanks plus 2 battery's and 3 full propane tanks. I think I was a bit over.
Now dry with all our stuff its at about 4600. Use a WDH and brake controller, so far have had no problem going over the passes. AT hit 203* at the top of Vail pass for about 1 min and water was 211* going West. Headed to Moab the first of March, its not hot out, but will see again?

    It's not difficult.

Crawl under your trailer, and will see how the axle is bolted on.

If you are the handy type, you can make a block out of 1/4" wall square tube and Grade 8 bolts.

    Either way, installation is straightforward.

Been pulling a 24' Aerolite for 6 years now with no problems. Ohio to the Smokey's(Tennessee) with no troubles along with lots of shorter trips. I do have brake controller and Air lift helper bags on the rear end and went up to a 265 tire on the truck.

    Flash forward, new trailer.

26 foot 4400 lbs dry Forest River TT. Upgraded to weight distribution hitch.

Weight is not my worry, but it's a big box, and worried about "tail wagging the dog" stuff.

Any hint's or tips out there.

    thanks in advance

Tested out the new factory brake controller by taking the Yota to the offroad park. It was a nice 4 hour round trip to get comfortable with it

Really impressed with the whole setup. Felt super stable and the only real noticeable difference I could tell was my fuel mileage.

Picked up our "new" camper this morning. 2013 Passport 252BH
27 feet, 4,300 lbs dry weight. Used a Fastway E2 WDH and Tekonsha P3 brake controller and had no issues. Cruised 60-65 mph on I-40 over 200 miles home

If you guys tow some pretty heavy stuff. Love seeing what these tacos can do. I don’t tow anything but am always monitoring my coolant and Trang temps with my ultra gauge. Curious as to why you guys get for temps when towing?

Trans temp peaked at 220 while towing a 5,000 boat/trailer in the summer, uphill... I am in Michigan and we have pretty small hills, so I haven't really gotten a chance to run it sustained up/down a hill, but I've noticed similar temps either way, as down-shifting to engine brake tends to heat the trans up quite a bit as well.
