No booze? A trailer full of water and soda doesn’t make for a fun wedding.

X19H hybrid, with a weight distributing hitch. It barely squats and tows nice. 3700lbs Empty.

I have read that pinning the trans thermostat open while towing helps to keep the temps down.
Do you get any porposing? I have a TT with similar weights and am considering some airbags to prevent this. I haven't been able to take the TT out on my initial test run, only towed it home from the dealer. I also have the WD hitch, and I got a little porposing on the way home. Some of my buds have told me that airbags make for a really nice ride.

The WD hitch cures most porpoising, it seemed fine to me, I’m also considering airbags but it might not be necessary with this hitch. I’m doing a 2” lift with add a leafs eventually, I’ll see how it is after that before considering airbags

I am going to add the airbags soon, but I won't be taking the TT out until spring so I won't be able to tell you how it tows until then. I have just read that the rear springs on the Taco are one of its weak points. I have a bud with an F150 with airbags and he says that they make a big difference in the ride.

Yeah, that’s why when I went into the shop to see the trailer after they prepped it an hooked it to my truck, I said “Let’s put the tongue jack up and see how much it squats” and the tech said “the jack is up, that’s how it sits”, and I’m like, “no way!” The hitch makes a huge difference.

That's how mine sits too. I'm just adding a little extra stability for towing and carrying heavy loads with the airbags.

Pulled our TT 500 miles this weekend up to Weed, CA. High of 36 degrees, low of 26 with a few inches of snow. Had a blast!

29’ 5500 lbs loaded. Can the 2009 handle it comfortably? We really like the camper but I don’t want to over work the truck. I have 200,000+ miles

Lance 1685 - Dry 4028 Gross 5500. 16.5ft box, 21ft LOA. Factory 2 5/8” Lift. Equal-i-zer WD hitch. Without too much effort, I can have her happily purring, doing 2.5-3k rpm in 4th while maintaining 59-66mph and 7.5-9.5mpg. She’s straight as an arrow in a light head or tailwind - zero trailer suck. 300+ miles this past weekend in sub 20F temps between Minneapolis and Duluth.

Did you have any issues with your propane that cold? Below 20F mine would not vaporize fast enough. Last time we went first night was 31F no problem, second and third nights low teens. The 20LB tanks, not good.

I have used powerblankets in the past to keep sodium hydroxide tanks warm (NaOH turns into a gel around 50ish or lower). Didn't know they made these.

No issues what-so-ever. Coldest overnight temp was -8F. Heater is rated to -44F. Was supplementing with an electric heater, inside temp never dropped below 64. Didn’t even use the first of three 20lbs. tanks.

Do you have stock suspension? Or stiffer rear springs?
