    My new (to me) boat. Four Winns 205 Sundowner 4400lbs w/o trailer... Just picked it up Saturday and towed it home 3 hours!

    What are you guys doing for the rear suspension to compensate for the added weight?

    I may be picking up a Pro-line Stalker 170 very soon.

    You will have no problems towing that boat.
    The TSB will make it better, but not necessary for that particular boat.
    I'd even venture to say it'll be a joy to pull.

    I don't think I can get the TSB. Mine is an 06 with 41k.

    I should know in the next couple days if I'll be picking up the boat. Pics to surely follow if so.

    Aftermarket AAL kits are available, but you'll be okay with the OEM.

    I still have the stock suspension. Boat trailer typically dont have that much tongue weight, mine doesn't squat at all w/ the boat. You will be fine with a 17ft.

    Round Step Bars, Bed Mat, Cargo Bars, Rocky Mounts bike mount, JVC MP3 Head Unit, TRD Cat Back Exhaust, Rigid Industries front and rear light pods, dual HAM radio with remote mount heads.

    Air bags won't help with the "squirley" towing they'll only help keep you a bit level in the back. Too much tongue weight though and the front end of your truck will be light and that can cause squirley problems. Best way to fix the issue is to keep it under 60 and have a good sway control installed if you don't already have one. Reese Dual-Cam is recomended although I'm only using a friction sway on mine. My trailer is only 26' though which is actually right at the limits for what they recomend for the wheelbase. Longer the trailer + shorter wheelbase truck = additional sway issues.

    Just got home today from the 1st tow with the cobalt. Kind of a test trip for the truck and camper. All rain the 1st day. Cold at night however. It was 32 out in the a.m.
    Truck was dogging it up the hills. On the flats, it went well. I do want to get a wider axle for the camper and out the same size tires as the truck on it. Down the road a bit.[​IMG][​IMG]

    Yes. 4cyl 5 speed. I don't have any build pictures or write ups. After looking around, I found some projects that others have done that would give better play by play with pictures than I could of done. But, this serves the needs for us. Multi use truck. Plowing, dump runs, adventures, and work on occasion.
    I have a few details to finish also. Gas filler, mud flaps, and a dual battery set up for the camper.

    Bilstein 5100's w/front's set at 1.75", TRD exhaust, Colormatched grill, Illuminated 4wd selector switch, BAMF Bolt on Sliders w/kickout.
    It is a 5'x14'. I actually have about a foot to spare when the machines are tied down.
