what kind of small trailer? travel trailer or one for junk/atv's and such? realistically, you should be alright if it's not huge and heavy.

I think they are the best value. the 17mke is about the Taco limit. I have towed a Nash 18 when we rented prior to buying. That was heavy. And I filled the fresh water tank full since we were not sure about the campground water supply. Ignorance is bliss! LOL.

We also had a great dealership to work with BlueDog RV in Post Falls, ID. Volume dealer that does not do commissions. They gave us a first responder deal since my wife is a pharmacist in a hospital.

...sounds neat but I don't want to be screwing around with my phone especially when I need to brake the trailer. All you need is the Redarc Tow Pro Elite. One knob, very clean, no clunky device on/under your dash and most importantly, easy operation in a time of need.

So I took off to pick up the lumber for my front entry way of my house while the framer was framing in the doors. This place was 1 hour away from my home. I arrived and the guy who took my check laughed and said we are putting this wood behind that? I said yessir, then he asked if I knew it was over 10,000lbs in cypress. I did not know that untill then. So I went ahead and allowed them to drop it on there. That trailer only has 2x 3,500lb axels and its a MT 17' Offroad with Towing package (with trailer brakes and brake controller) . I want to come on here and without reading all 266 pages that it is capable of towing 10k + trailer weight just fine. I made the one hour trip in one hour with no issues at all. So is it capable yes, advisable prolly not. [IMG][IMG] [IMG]

WOW! I was actually thinking that the world would have ended based on you doing this! Based on towing comments I have read. LOL. However you do have a clue and realize that it is not advisable. I would have done the same thing given the situation. Pulling that much you probably didn't need to worry about speeding!

It had no trouble pulling it really, and with the trailer brakes I had no issues stopping. No one pulled out in front of me tho so who knows if that would have changed anything. I just wanted to share with those who are scared to pull a ATV or a Tractor, that the little taco is plenty capable.

Just picked up a Trailmanor 2720. Less than 3k lbs and only 20ft long, but when popped up it's 27ft long. Pretty easy to tow so far. Have to wire in my tekonsha p3 so I can take it to Colorado.
