cool boat. its the gearing in the truck that limits towing performance, not the motor.

Towing a Apex Nano 208 coming in at close to max tow weight GVWR 6000lbs with the 2022 Tacoma TRD Off-road.

Generally, the ride is smooth. At high elevations and steep inclines (like Colorado mountains where I live) it can struggle a little, but keep it low gears and let the Taco do it’s job.

I keep it in S4 to avoid overdrive (which I read is not recommended while towing) and under 65mph.

I remodeled the camper’s interior and will be posting it for rent on Outdoorsy soon so others can enjoy the camper.

Towed our Coleman Light 1805RB to Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral.

Monitored transmission temps (oil pan and torque converter) and they stayed below 200°F on highway at 55-65mph and below 210°F on stop and go traffic. Running Icon RTX Leafpack in Option 2. Using Furrion Vision S wireless cameras around trailer for blind spots, Redarc Tow-Pro Elite brake controller set in progressive mode and Equalizer weight distribution hitch with sway control. Very happy with the setup overall. Will try thermostat “pinning” on the next tow. Running vF Tune 2.0 Premium 33” Thx.

Trailer is 4,503lbs dry weight and payload capacity 3,097lbs for a GRVW of 7,600lbs! Hitch weight is 530lbs. We travel with all the tanks empty and heavy stuff goes on another vehicle as we are going to use it as a second home for 3-4 month work contracts.

tows great at 6000# I know it’s there and gas mileage blows but that’s to be expected. She stops fine I do have a brake controller and electric brakes. This is a 2017 3rd gen FYI

Just picked up my Apex Ultra-Lite 215RBK. Towed her home today with no issues at all. The real test trip will be in a few weeks... I'll report back, but I have high expectations.

I just picked up another Can am for my business and the truck hauled it no problem. My old 2500 hauled side by sides like they weren’t even there. I definitely felt the trailer behind me and had to use the skinny pedal on the hills, but I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!99F5E5AD-A097-44FA-8993-8408CB757E02.jpg

5x10 Fabform trailer. Firewood, landscaping materials, lumber, you name it…it hauls it. Recently it’s pulled everything I needed to build a gazebo and flagstone patio in the back yard. The pallets of flagstone were definitely heavy…so needless to say I didn’t win any races pulling those things home. Ive towed the contents of my dad’s garage several hundred miles from Oregon to Washington and barely knew it was there. Bottom line is that this trailer is well built and tows nicely behind the Tacoma.

It towed great! I knew it was there, but I still had power to go and felt fully in control. And that was with a full fresh water tank, which I never intended (thanks dealership). I was mostly on back roads, averaging about 45mph, so it may not have been the best test, but I would have no hesitation with the 245BH, I just didn’t want bunks.

I should have mentioned more about my set up; I’ve got the KDMax tune, TRD lift, Tekonsha P3, and an eaz lift WDH

I have airbags and I would have to bump up to the next size weight distribution hitch. 4 people at the dealership said I’d be fine but I’m not convinced. I might ask them if I can hook it up and tow it for a couple miles to see if I am comfortable or not. I tow one now thats a single axle 3600 dry 5500gvwr (Kodiak Cub) it tows ok it’s just 8” higher and 6” wider then the apex 245BH but the apex is 1000 pounds heavier.

Double axle makes a big difference in comfort towing. In a second gen but towing a 2018 245bhs apex. It'll work in the mountains but perfectly fine on highway. Upgrade your trans cooler for those hot summer days

Have no no issues towing. Engine revs going up hill but it’s a V6 not a V8.

WOW! I’m impressed. Did you have to upgrade to airbags? Better make sure your running a tranny cooler and a good electric brake controller for that thing!!!!
