Got the Ride rite airbags installed today. No test run yet, but looking forward to seeing how they do for me.

Cushmaat, that's cool that you put bags on yours. I've never towed with a 3rd gen tacoma or even driven one, but man, I know the 2nd Gen, it would not scare me at all to have it at it's capacity. From my experience with towing, a lot of tow ratings are a joke. Toyotas capacitys are not. They are truthful. I know someone that tows 6k with his 08 2nd gen all the time without any weight distribution hitches or anything. These trucks are workhorses.

    Nice trailer setup!
Does the weight include weed whackers and blowers and if so how do you have them mounted?

I was just wondering as I have a 6x12 too that I use for mowing occasionally...

Squirt, yes. I run a scag machine. And from spec sheets, they figure weight with fuel in it. Also, I know what each Wacker weighs by the spec sheets and my blower. And I have a simple mount in my trailer, for them. So, I figured in the weight with that. Plus, I have a basket in the front say with my stuff I need and all that. Plus, I have my fuel cans and such.

Oh I don't have stock Sport ones anymore. My buddy at NAPA was able to give me a decent deal on shocks when it was time for replacement. I think they're NAPA OESpectrum shocks
Its been a year and I've been happy with them

Anyone in this thread regularly tow with a high clearance rear bumper? I have an ATH with the relocated hitch behind my license plate. Anybody have any experience, and if so how much do you tow and how often?

Mine is not a high clearance version, but I tow with an SOS Concepts dual swing rear bumper. It has the receiver built into the bumper and hidden behind the license plate

I tow (depending on season) an off road teardrop (3500 lbs loaded, 400 lb tongue weight) or an EPro Fd19 travel trailer (4200 lb loaded 600lb tongue weight estimated haven't weighed it yet)

I have to remove the swingouts to tow the travel trailer. I also climb under the truck every so often and look at the bumper welds and bolts to see if everything is still straight and uncracked.

After about 30,000 miles with the teardrop and 10,000 miles with the travel trailer it's so far so good no issues.

I do run an 8 inch drop hitch for the travel trailer

Drove the truck and trailer from CT to Boston last week to pick up a car and then drove an hour to pick up an entire drivetrain for said car this week.

Relocation package did not include a 3rd car, a boat, "anything longer than 14 feet", guns, and wanted $2500 to crate some deer mounts..... I spent about that on the trip and short term storage so I figure at least $10,000 ahead moving it 2/3 across the US myself. Boat was loaded with gear so ~4100 pounds. Tucking up a couple seconds behind a semi increased gas mileage and reduced gear changes. If I could do it over again I prolly would not have passed that guy dropping down into Moab in the middle of the night but no worries otherwise.

I picked this up a few weeks ago. Parking at work for now until I can make room to open it up and do some necessary cleaning and maintenance.

The picture makes it look like my truck is squatting pretty good, I don't think it was. The camper was down lower from the driveway and the ground was anything but level.
