Very nice trailer and a very practical size to tow.
Your V6 should be just fine. I'm kinda surprised that the Scamp had brakes since you say it weight 2200 lbs. Good to have the brakes.

One of the advantages of being a old fart.. The kids are all gone, so I can wait to take a week off (vacation) and go out there when all the little ones are in school.. The flipside was, when we were hiking to some of the arches, we were the only English speaking folks on the trail.. Europeans were everywhere..

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. We don't get too much of that in Florida. The occasional hill has birds flying above it, and has garbage buried beneath it = DUMP

Looks like i'll be upgrading to the 4.0 sooner than i had planned. My little 3.0 has been great until now. Had a really tough time bringing this 5x10 home on the hiway. Didn't even have my Can am in it which is what i bought it for...mostly. In the city it pulls not bad but the truck gets bounced around a fair bit from the bumps.

I think there is a difference between the older style Tacoma extended and the newer style double cab.
I pull a 19' single axle airstream with my tacoma. I don't get pushed all over the road. In fact Ive driven about 7000 miles with it pulling the trailer over the last year and a half, without any problems. Over all kinds of passes in Utah and Colorado. To Florida and back, and some of the hilliest, twistiest roads in Arkansas over this last weekend.
This trailer is longer than mine, but if its in the 3000# area, it's not that hard to pull with the newer Tacoma.. (Just my $.02, and that's about what its worth.)

Do yourself a favor and get a proper strap. It just isn't worth the risk. Cool video though.
