I don't actually have any pictures to share with you but can say that I tow my 24ft travel trailer with ease. Just make sure that if you plan to to anything heavy or longer than 15ft, always use weight distribution bars to help adjust the rear height of you truck. They really help with steering control, especially since these trucks are quite light. My travel trailer fully loaded weighs around 6,300 and the bed of my truck carrying about 400lbs can take a 12% uphill grade at 60mph. Gas mileage is lowsy (around 13mpg), but they do tow nicely. I've had mine upgraded to Toyota with better more heavier duty rear leaf springs and new shocks.

Depending on the year of your Tacoma, you may be able to work with the dealer in upgrading the rear leaf springs and all 4 shocks to newer more heavier duty. These trucks actually have a factory defect in ride control with the (3 leaf spring) style rear suspension. The shocks are also not as rigid as they should be for good hauling/towing. The ride does change a bit once done, but still has a nice smooth feel and actually better as it does feel so sluggish nor sags. Once side on mine tended to sag more when I drove over bumps or dips in the road. It now has a very nice even bounce. The steering control is much better too. Doesn't tend to drift on the road as much anymore.

    Check it out!

First pic is my 6x12 cargo trailer that I tow everyday to haul around my tools and the other two are my 6000 pound travel trailer that I am currently living in. I towed it almost 2000 km across the rocky mountains. It made the truck work but I took it slow and tucked in with the big trucks on the long climbs. It will be for sale in the next couple of months.

BTW I have Firestone airbag (Helper springs) with onboard controller and compressor so I can level it out with lot of bed weight.

Those tires on the back aren't usually there...I won them in a raffle at Tierra Del Sol this weekend.

I think this is the only pic I have of the boat and truck together...

On avg. I tow my trailer about 4 times per year and no less than 600 miles, round-trip. However, last summer in August I towed it to this place called KQ Ranch located just Northeast of San Diego. From where I live, in the Central Valley (Bakersfield, CA) it was about 250 miles, one way and quite a climb not to mention the winds on the South bound I-15. Kept the truck at around 60mph and had no problems going up the hills at about 45-50mph. Now that I've done some minor mods to the suspension and removed the secondary air filter then had duel exhaust, I should be able to make these types of tows much easier.

I'll try and get some pics for you all. My truck is basically still stock. I've been waiting out to get the factory tires worn down some before going to something taller and wider but yet not so off-road aggressive. Still want to have that quieter and smoother ride, you know.

Yours kind of looks like what I had hooked up on Saturday, but your beetle is significantly nicer.
