Towed with 2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD Double Cab, no modifications with the exception of a load leveling hitch and brake controller.

Even surpassed my expectations in the mountains (BC, Canada). At no time did it feel like the truck was unable to handle the load or make it up the next climb.

With that said, I personally wouldn't tow much more weight than this.

Just traded the truck in on a 2012 so I'm hoping it will perform the same.

The change to 6,400 lbs towing (was 6,500) capacity on the '12 should be a none issue.

But really my buddies fuel pump went out and I was the only truck available to get it to his shop and we had a big night planned.. Broke down at 1:00 and was out of the shop with a new pump at 5:00. Definitely the biggest load I've pulled

Nice. We almost bought one like this, but it was 500 pounds too heavy (5700lbs dry) , and $2000 too expensive. We still wonder if we shouldn't have stretched both parameters...

    Woodstock,

Here is a picture of the inside of my 2006 22ft Hi-Lo Towlite. The double bed/couch is at the front of the trailer, and is not in the picture.

Well I took the trailer out for its maiden voyage with my truck. Trailer was still empty at 5500 pounds. But it towed great. Had no problem maintaining 65-70 in hilly terrain. SGII said I was averaging 14mpg in 4th Drove for about 45 min mostly highway. Can't wait to load it up and use it.

Renting this Lance 1685 trailer for a weekend trip. My first time towing with the Tacoma and she did great on the 40 mile trip from the rv center. Trip will be 400 miles round trip, so ill report back. Got a Prodigy P2 brake controller and firestone airbags. They also installed an E2 wd and sway control hitch. Truck sits very level and was stable at 60 in traffic.

That trailer should be a piece of cake for the Taco. Tandem axle trailer will tow much easier than single and be easier to back up as well. If you've got tow package on your truck you should be able to hold 65 if you don't mind the extra gas. I found a big difference in mpg between 60-65mph with my 21' TT.
    Have fun!

Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
How is a tandem easier to back up than a single axle?

^ Nice tow. Going to use the Runner as a dedicated wheeler? How did you like the Uhaul trailer?
