Back from another camping trip. Once again the Taco towed like a champ. I can't say more about this truck. On flats, sometimes I forget the TT is back there. Starting out and up mountains, I take it easy and don't rush. Just set up the Scanguage 2 for transmission temps and was pleased to find it ran well within limits with the outside temp over 90. Actually the engine and tranny only get a little hot in traffic and long hills. So here is what I have. Got about 12 MPG with 92 Octane (last trip got about 10.5 with 87).

Cool set-up, and good info. Your travel trailer is about 11' longer and a 1000lbs heavier than mine, and your truck is a longbed and mine is a shortbed. I don't have the Firestone airbags nor a scangauge. If you were buying them today would you still buy the bags and gauge? Same ones?

The airbags I like for more than towing. When I fill the bed with mulch, you can't believe what a difference it makes. I like that for normal driving, it rides smooth but when I need more stiffness in the back, I have it. It takes out any sag when I tow. I installed then myself and I think for the price, they are well with it especially if you use your truck as a daily driver and tow or haul at times.
The advantage is nice especially since they upgraded it with trans temp. But I do feel it is over priced. If I had to do again, I would look closer at ultragauge. Either way it is nice to know status of your truck while towing.

Does anyone pull an S238 with their 6 cylinder Tacoma? I'm looking at one. I have a 2012 TRD sport Double Cab.
Dry Trailer wt is 4300 lbs. (Max weight loaded is 5300lbs)
Dry Tongue wt is 430 lbs.
Truck is rated for 6400 lbs.

Wondering if this trailer would be too much for my Tacoma.

    Thanks.
