I have the K&N, but after reading/researching on TW, I would have gone with teh AFE ProdryS. It does not require oiling that could foul your MAF.

Good luck in your future trip and THANKS for your service!

Towed this pump the other day. Not very heavey at all, just a steep slope.

    Thank you,

    It's 5200lbs dry and 28' long. I was towing a 25' 6000lb before this.

I have airbags, a weight distribution hitch and sway bars and I honestly have 0 issues towing it I actually think it tows better then my smaller one did. The wide track of the trailer really makes it stable.

Towed a similar loaded U-Haul trailer almost 3000 miles (WA to CA to SC) and rarely went under 80mph (except to stop, slow for cops, etc). Often went a bit faster (90~95mph). No problems whatsoever, with the trailer or vehicle. The key is keeping everything (steering, braking, etc) straight and smooth - fairly easy since I was on freeways for much of that distance.

Of course, got chased by a cop once, but was entering a road construction zone by the time he caught up (no place to pull me over). Other side of that construction zone was well outside his jurisdiction, so he simply gave up, killed his lights, and turned off (after a few hand gestures motioning for me to slow down).

By the way, have gotten a bit older (saner), so have actually slowed down some. Now rarely go more than a few mph over the limit.

has factory tow? only thing i would worry about is having the right drop/rise of hitch for the trailer, make sure trailer lights work and all, tires are aired up and not dry rotting. also make sure loaded is loaded right and not to far back, i usually load stuff like atvs/rhino and everything as far forward as i can on the trailer.

Don't know if I already posted in here before. Only thing I tow is my boat. And that doesn't get towed too much since it's in the water most of the summer in a slip.

If the trailer that you tow has electric brakes you WILL NEED an electric brake contoller. Most u-haul trailers have an inertia type brake instead of electric, but most travel trailers, private cargo trailers, etc. have electric brakes and you will need an electric controller for them.
