    I see civilian contractor mechanic's working for NAVAIR come in and do specialty jobs all the time. Some L3 guys worked side by side with active duty sailors, working eight hour shifts five days a week. Some of them do have military backgrounds others are just guys that have their A&P License and got jobs with the companies. Nothing like working in the line shack for $20-$30 dollars an hour!:D

    I was surprised to find one of the aircraft I worked on at the USAF Museum. It was really cool to see it again but sort of sad also.
