I do like that Quest, but I think we will be getting a boat that is more set up for longer distance cruising. We do more family sailing than racing. I have been racing on someone else's boat anyway. We have a lot of family that comes out with us so we will be needing something with a lot of comfort. Also something with a closed rear cockpit for dogs and little ones. That is the main reason we are leaning toward a bigger cruiser. We are going to do a lot of looking at the New England Boat Show and we may try to make a trip to the Annapolis show in April. We wanted to make the trek down for the October show but it was the weekend before our wedding.

I would love to pick up a newer Beneteau although the Catalina 5 series is pretty nice too. My wife really likes Catalina, we have had great luck with our 22.

Just looked at some of the 5 series, the transom is pretty sweet with the little deck and fold down seat thing!

Yeah we looked at a 385 back in February. Incredible boat. The whole boat was very well thought out. The transom is awesome. Love that it's a walk through and can be closed to keep little critters in or out (witch ever you prefer). I would love to get a 315. I think that will be the perfect size. Maybe a 355. I definitely would like to stay small enough so we can stay at the slip we are in, if we go to big we will have to go to a mooring or the docks in the other side of the marina.

Not my boat obviously, I don’t own a 134ft brig...but my gf is currently working on it as a scientist/teacher.

Also a pretty cool shot my friend took of the Lil Nellie up on Yellowstone lake. We parked for Sunday brunch lol

No... luckily I sold her literally two weeks before. Reality though is that I also had a trailer and would have pulled her out of the water before the storm hit. The house is gone though...unfortunately. I had just remodeled it down to the studs 5 months earlier. Got 4 feet of water in the house during the storm.

If you're someone that's into fishing, canoes can get you through some skinny water that can leak to some of the best fishing ever.
