    Is the deck cored? The P.O. of mine let the chainplates leak for along time. Didn’t ruin the bulkhead, but the balsa core in the deck was wasted.

    Ouch! I’m not sure, I’m not pulling the bulkhead till I find the wood to replace it. When the chain plate comes up I’ll poke around in the through hull. Tbh I’m not going to rip the deck apart right now to replace it. But it’ll be a good thing to check

    Keels out! Now I can paint it when I do the hull, and Rebed it so it doesent let the entire lake into my bilge. Thank god my trailer is so high!!

    This is my first major boat overhaul project I’ve ever done, and I’m really enjoying it. Learning a lot about repairs for fiberglass boats. Good practice for sure!
    As soon as I have a long window of good weather bottom prep and paint are happening.
