Pontoons can be fun don't let them make you regret it lol. Might be the mini-van of the waters but unless your water skiing or wakeboarding you don't need to go that fast.

Haha. Not concerned what anyone else thinks about it, when they can write a check for a boat they can buy what they want. :rofl:We live on Lake Wylie. 90% of the non-fishing boats are pontoons.

I’ve had pontoons for over 30 years and loved them. I just don’t have many people on my boat anymore, so I traded last year for a Boston Whaler.

hahahaha those were DESPERATE times. it was 35 miles to the lake, at a max of 55, and pretty flat. very painful and very over loaded drive.
now the 1st gen gets to rest easy, as i have a 3/4 ton diesel to do the work

That's amazing man. If that's your dock as well looks like you're set up nicely. I like my jon boat for fishing but with a set up like that I'd absolutely own a pontoon boat (we call them party barges here).

Must be nice to live where you can leave the pier in all year. It's a pain to install and remove everything every year like we do here. Maybe I should move south....

Thanks man, we just moved here in October, feel super fortunate. Dock needs some redoing but it'll be fine for a couple years.
