That's funny. I only have a 21' boat and I want a smaller boat (I'm not 50...yet). The problem is my wife likes the bigger dual console because of the forward bowrider type seating. I want something with a much shallower draft as where we boat can be measured in inches if you get outside of the channel. I can't do flats fishing with a deep v bow but she won't do a center console or flats style boat.

Heck, at this point I'd be happy with a nice Gheenoe Super 16. Perfect for our area.

Sounds like you need two boats.

I'm the opposite, I would not have a boat that's stuck on one piece of water unless it was the ocean. I like to trailer mine to fish different lakes around the state. Being stuck on one lake would take the fun out of it as I'm rarely in the same lake each time the boat is out.

The fancy one with the pedal drive and all that? I've always wanted one. I enjoy fishing out of my kayak but it can be a bit of a pain sometimes with poles, tackle, and a paddle all in the little boat and all needing hands.

Yeah man I love it, super stable, can get in the shallowest water you'd want, plenty of room for a full days worth of gear.

I've tried that route but she's not having it LOL. Closest I was able to pull off is a few different kayak options on any given day. I have 2 different hobies and a feel free with a trolling motor right now but they all take forever to get to where I really want to go.

Surprisingly I don't have any pictures of the boat but here are a few of the kayaks.

In addition to this, my wife has a Hobie Passport and we have a Vibe and little 6' kids kayak to round out the fleet.

Haha. I have never had it on the highway. It only hitch it up to take it a mile down the road for winter storage. Taco does just fine, but I've never had it over 35 mph.

That triple tows amazing on the highway behind my buddies dodge 3500 DRW, and pretty solid behind an F250 SRW rented from Enterprise.

Well that'd be similar to my drive. Maybe 5 miles from the stall to the water. My biggest concern is getting it out of the water

Dual axle for the win. Both my snowmobile trailer and my middle sized boat are dual axle. And I love them because I can use this on the road (or at home even) instead of a jack:

bitter sweet day. just sold my first "big" sailboat. her successor is in the background. I "made" $2000 on the sale, which in reality probably just barely covers all the materials cost ive put into her in the last 3 years haha.

It's a neat idea, but does it go high enough? The trailer in that photo doesn't look like the axles articulated at all.

The other advantage of trailers with > 1 axle: you don't have to change a flat. I saw a guy jack up the flat tire and then chain bind the raised axle to the frame. Which kept the flat tire/rim up off the road. He was able to limp home.

Where do you sail in Wyyoming?

All my sailing was done in California. I've always though of Wyoming as a "mountains" state.
