If you look at the tanks. There are 2 different styles.
1 is the Van style with Bottom access
2 is the motorhome with Side access.

I believe the Van style is the preferred tank for my application. However, I was considering an install similar to this one.

Starts around 5 min and then again around 9 for the Filler hose .

Doing water there also and moving the Air tank.

Debating on the 12" or 10" diameter tanks now. The 12" would be right at the tow hitch center. If I'm doing a HCRB, 10" might be the proper height. Any thoughts?

Difference in the mounting options for the valves.

I agree. Also plan to cut out the spare tire carrier completely. Then weld in or bolt in some square bar or 'I' beam. Then a tank in between the new brackets.

So I got my new Camp Chef Rainier stove and I gotta say I am not impressed. After the way everyone else brags about the brand I was expecting a lot better.
For starters the main body of the stove is dented. There is no real damage to the box so I guess they packaged it up knowing that it was dented. There are little tabs on the base that the surface of the burners is supposed to be hooked under but its not - it was assembled very poorly. The ignitor mechanism works only on the stove burner, not on the grill/griddle burner. The grill and griddle plates are really thin and flimsy and all of the legs are bent to some degree. Those legs are supposed to line up with slots on the base of the stove but they don't so getting it set up is difficult. Then add to that the fact that the ignitor doesn't work so I had to use a lighter to get the burner going....and then try to get the grill with the bent legs situated in the holes that didn't line up before it heated up too much and burned my fingers!

Debating if I want to exchange it and hope that the next one doesn't have any defects or if I want to just return it and go to some other brand.

just a thought.... what else do you run with propane? I found myself running several types of gas. I made the switch to white gas on everything, or gasoline. The benefits of white gas/ gasoline are also no freezing at altitude or wet weather. propane will ice up when its raining. white gas is great! I use an old school coleman stove from the 60s. works GREAT. for heating the kettle/coffee pot in the morning I use a MSR whisperlite I got for 5 bucks at a thrift store (suckers). I have 4 coleman stoves and didn't pay a single penny for any of them. If you can get an old one, the pump membrane is leather vice rubber, this allows you to soak the leather in oil to keep it fresh if it ever dries out. these are truly bullet proof. I have a secret project if anyone welds aluminum.

just wait until it breaks...they don't make any parts for it

    holy expensive batman!
still doesn't help me keep things compact either. the two stoves that I have (the old broken coleman an the new broken camp chef) both pack up pretty small AND the grill/griddle pack up inside of the main stove body. no mess, easy to pack, and doesn't take up a ton of space.

I do love those Partner steel stoves, way more heavy duty. I want to make a copy of one and then rig it up with the coleman white gas "guts"

    Too few to list.
I like to travel as light as possible so just carry a simple charcoal or gas grill depending on where I'm going. I prefer Weber brand as their products are made with thicker metal unlike the flimsy other brands out there.

Just wanted to say, my PS stove is killer. Used it again today and turned down an offer to buy it from me. Too many memories built in it already I. Such a short time. Used it again today.

Right. The Achilles on the camp chef is the bulk. Folding it closed like a book is brilliant.
