Show us your Silver Sky Metallic

It is darker for 2014. I love the darker silver. Be aware that most shells on the rack are the older, lighter silver... I added a new Leer shell and it is noticeably lighter than the truck. Not a big deal but also not a match. Only on there for a year until I go with a 4 wheel pop top so I'm not planning on a switch.

ooooo. I likey the new silver, if I were to trade in my 2010 SSM, I would definately get this color.

Just replaced the chrome surround with a color matched and changed out the heads/fogs for some Sylvania zXe's to better match the temp of my Rigid SR-20 combo.

I'm now considering repainting my Leer camper shell to the darker silver sky metallic. It is currently the lighter silver streak and just doesn't look right.
Anyone ever attempt this? I've found the paint (1D6) and there is a good online reference that explains how you repaint a fiberglass camper shell. Comments or advice? Thanks in advance.

 

My truck is being bought back from me by Toyota for a lemon law issue with it. I have 3 colors in mind for the new one. One being the the new silver sky metallic. I loved the old silver streak and looking at the silver sky can anyone confine deny the almost purplish tint it has? Or is it just me?

 

I have SilverSky, no purplish tint here.

 

Ok so looked at an off-road silver sky and really like it. I will say the first thing to go will be the red accent in the trd O/R bedside decal. To me it doesn't fit. An all black one would be so much better. Gotta work on that. Does anyone know a good site for checking local prices? Want to make sure invoice isn't changing a lot from dealer to dealer. Or what is under invoice and what this model is going for around.

I haven't noticed any purple in mine either...

 

Yo Chris just saw on you were looking at the new ssm tacos. That's the color I bought back in February. I told my wife the decal had to go because of the red. I'd be interested to see what you decide to do as far as decal and color.
