This brings up a question I had about bed storage. If you remove the front little cubby thing, you will notice that there is a ton of unused space between the actual body and the bed. what does everyone think about the possibility of cutting a bigger hole and custom fabricating a box to fit in it? I'm wondering if it would jeopardize the structural integrity of the bed...

sounds cool. but yeah it may jeopardize the structural integrity of the bed.

I have a nice low profile duralast toolbox (autozone about 150) it was on when I got my truck in july 2010, and has been great ever since. Packed with tools and random crap, no sagging, bulging, or anything. Hoping to get a couple ammo cans soon just for extra separate stuff.

I would like to trade my toolbox for and identical one, but black, if anyone is interested.... :D

Just a start. I need to get this attached to the side C channels and under the rails so that I can have a tonneau whan I don't need the box. Then the bars could be pushed to the front of the box, or used to help secure cargo.

I want to be able to access the box easily and still park in the garage, so mounting any higher is out.

I really like the way Rotopax takes advantage of the rail system in the Tacoma!! Fell in love with this when I saw it on the website and works great!! I have since put the group buy Hi-Lift jack on the front rail. It is a work in progress and I LOVE the ammo can ideas!!

Wood topped with carpet padding and recessed tie-down tracks. Used some plastic bins on the bottom that work well and don't roll around.

You have an AMAZING looking truck!! How is your rack attached to your canopy? Did it come with rails? I am trying to find a way to put a rack on a LEER that I did not have done with factory rails (I was unaware at the time of order)....

    Truly great truck!!
