You can find tanks online. Several companies will customize to fit.

Currently live in Phoenix so not an issue at this point, but cold weekend trips I would have to drain the lines at night. My only solution would be a few carefully placed hand warmers.

That looks amazing for a fresh water sourced water tank.

There’s also one that fits over the hump behind the front seats similar capacity. The thing I’m not wild about is the need to be able to draw from both sides once the level drops below the hump. I wonder if this one would fit against the back wall of the cab.

Wow, $225 is definitely a bit spendy. I like the idea but I’ll pass on this one too.

Not a sleeping platform but i have taken a nap on it lol.. This is what i came up with for a drawer system, Still need to redo some stuff like a different top (thinking black HDPE for the top vs wood). I will be also redoing the faces so i have spots on the sides for some outlets/ and water.

What you dont see is on the passanger side there is room for 10 gallons of water that i still need to install and setup. driver side is 56" passanger is 40"

So I just started my build of my drawer system a couple weeks ago. its definitely not the cheap route of just building a whole system from wood, but I have always loved the look of the goose gear. It took me a while to really piece everything together. I wanted everything to look flush all while having big enough drawers to hold all my supplies. I normally put everything inside rubbermaid boxes but was getting tired of constantly having to climb in the truck to grab what I needed, so drawers it was. like I said, I've always like the goose gear set ups, but the price was wayyyy over budget. I was able to find the aluminum extrusions for a pretty decent price. while it wasn't the price of a piece of plywood, I feel that the durability is worth it. I didn't want to cheap out of the drawer slides, so those were also on the pricey side. At my current point, I am about half the price of a goose gear set up, and I have 4 drawer slides, two complete drawers, and 2 complete drawer frames. All that is left is some final cosmetic pieces such as handles and paint. here is a couple pictures of one of my drawers, the other one is in the build process. I will post more once it is complete and can answer any questions. And let me tell you, these drawer slides are smooth as butter! :)

They are from a website called ovis online. Really great quality slides.

What type of extrusion is that? Also, how did you fix the drawer slides to it?

Quick snap of iteration one when there was snow to ski. Wishing for those days again under the smokey summer skies here in CA now. Would love to reconfigure with drawers now.. stuff in the back is pretty inaccessible when out of the bed. Recently leveled out the right side to fit an Exped Megamat and dual battery.

It’s aluminum extrusion. The same type that comes on the prinsu roof racks, only instead of 2x1 which is what the roof racks come with, this is 1x1. The slides are mounted to the extrusions via L brackets. I can get some pictures later on if you’d like.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure it was 80/20 extrusion since it looks like you only have t-slots on 2 sides.

Tnutz calls it “bislot” extrusion cause like you said, it only has slots on 2 sides. Looks cleaner to me. The top pieces are a tri slot so I could have mounting points for my top deck.

Nothing fancy, 3/4” maple ply, padded and carpeted with two 2”x8” notched for support. There is a little sag in the middle with my weight of 210 lbs. might make a little I-beam that I can just throw under it when I’m camping.

Hey guys, after look for a shell for some time now I finally got one and plan on building a storage system. Lots if good ideas on this thread that I’ll be using. I’m looking for something other than carpenter to cover the platform as my dog will be riding in the bed after hunting/fishing and will likely be covered in mud. Has anyone used a rubber/plastic material? Something that can be pulled out and hosed down, while still providing grip for him? I was thinking kind of like the stuff you find in boats.
    Thanks.
