Drill out where the bolts are so it sets flat.

Bed has ribs so it won't sit down anyway.

The ribs are ~3/8" high. The out can fill the gap with something or notch the bottom of the ply for the bolt heads and the ribs but otherwise it is what it is.

I think the washer is more important to the truck bed that a couple of holes in the wood.
Even if you just drill the 1/16" for clearance.

The bolt heads will dent their way in after a bit whether you drill them or not.

My wood drawers have reluctantly worn around any obstacles.

My vote is for drilling the wood to adjust.

That's amazing. Are there some in progress pictures or a build thread for this? I really like those handles and the power point right there on the corner.

Yeah... you probably already have marks on the MDO showing you exactly where to drill. A forstner or big paddle bit would make a neat pocket for clearance.

    I glue and screw.
Kreg is good, a bit time consuming, but worth it.

I originally built mine to be used in a camper shell. They sit 33” from a closed tailgate so my spare could sit under a “bed platform”. Cost about $100. This is them after 2 years of being parked outside2ADDCF18-AC87-420D-8C98-5D6FDF02F5EC.jpgD0D28FB5-CC40-4463-875D-CDE3763205B9.jpg B426E7D9-424E-4471-BF13-7F42814D526D.jpg
