I ran them for years, really liked them, strong, good weight, look good.
I look for Jeep takeoffs to save some cash.
I’m trying the Falken AT3W Jeep takeoffs, same size and load range but they are way heavier, 61 lbs for same tire.

The SCS wheels without spacers will have your tire sitting around 1/2 inch outside your wheelwell approx, with spacers you’ll be almost 2 inches outside your wheelwell. Do you have aftermarket UCAs? You’ll be looking at cutting and a chop to make them work with the spacers.

I live in Baja, and i think E load is overkill for a Tacoma, C load is more than enough for what i do with the truck.

You will likely be rubbing somewhere. The 0 offset puts you about an inch out from factory wheels - with 2” lift you won’t/shouldn’t need UCAs though.

Everyone, of course, has an opinion. I think you just have to be brutally honest with yourself and ask why you want to lift your truck and put on bigger tires. Sure if you are filthy rich it doesn't matter how much it costs or how bad you MPG is. But if it's your primary vehicle that you use as a DD and you need to commute to work everyday and you are like most of us then I'm going with leave the stock suspension and maybe the 265/75R16 on the stock wheels plus throw on a Pro or X-Trek grill and be happy. On the other hand if you want to do some wheeling off road then you have to figure out your budget and realize you are going to suffer MPG and probably get a few scratches and pin stripes along the way. It can be an expensive hobby especially if you move up to the more difficult trails and rock crawling - and that takes some driving skill and trail experience - also it helps to have mechanical expertise at that level as well.

Just went from an 285/75r16 to 285/70r17. The geolanders looked and performed awesome. Down side was their weight. New Toyo open country rt tires are not nearly as aggressive looking but they ride nice and the truck seems to drive much better with tires 12 pounds lighter each.

very nice, I’m planning on moving up to 285/75/16 next.

What did you do to fit those? Anything special like re-gear, offset rims, spacers, what kind of lift, etc.

Love it, almost makes me want to dump my new 265’s and just move on up already lol

I’ve been looking for something like that actually but with shipping here it’s gotta be exactly what I want in a rack.

I can’t speak for winniepeg but to fit my 285s I had to trim plastic front and rear and cmc

edit: also 2.5 inch bilstein lift

what is everyone's opinions on cooper tires? at3 xlt or stt pro, or any other cooper tire for that matter. i need new tires soon and i was planning on upsizing. the reviews say that their sidewalls are really weak, but has anyone here actually had problems with that?

Same here when I went to 285/75R16 2" bilstein lift - maybe overkill but I had a viper cut and CMC done

THX - I had two objectives and a third long term - No rubbing and no alignment problems. Long term 34s or 35s . . . . maybe not sold on that yet.
