jdsundevil How's the quality on those wheels? They look awesome. Debating between the ones you got and the new Method MR312s.

yeah I've actually been almost every weekend the past few months. Pushed it pretty hard today. I really don't have anything to compare the ride to, but I don't have any issues with it at all. Pretty comfortable on and off road.

Have a little rubbing at full lock and suspension compressed a decent amount with a CMC and 3.7 degrees of positive Caster. King Suspension all around with about 2.85" lift up front and 2" in rear with Dakar Leaf Springs.

You will need spacers to keep the 285’s from rubbing on the upper control arms. You have to run a pretty narrow tire to keep from rubbing the upper control arms like a 255/85. My wheels are 17x8 with zero offset. Puts the tires away from the control arms and they don’t stick out to far. A CMC is best if you want to avoid rubbing in any situation.

I also have 16x8 w/ o offset right now, and wanting to do a better lift down the line... right now i have a .5 spacer in front and truck is level and rides great.
I really would love not to do the CMC chop though!
And 255x85x16 tires seem to be a good bit priceier than 285's, and there are less options in tires for 255's also..

It’s should, but a lot of it depends on your wheel backspacing and offset

Did you have to do anything else aside from adding the spacers to make these tires fit? I have the exact same truck and am looking at the same size tires, but don't want to get into any major work. I'm looking at adding spacers and a leveling kit (3" in the front, 2" in the back). Judging by your post, I should be good to go with just that, right? (Sorry, I'm new to all of this!)

Well I thought so until I got new control arms and a better alignment. I would have had to chop because it rubbed so bad. I changed sizes haha
