Do bigger tires really make that large an impact on mileage? Is that the only change, or did you lift it too?

I'm not questioning your numbers, to be clear. I'm just surprised the tires make that much of a difference.

It also depends on the load rating of the tires. The more rubber a tire has, the heavier it is as well as more surface touching the road, so more torque resistance. Bigger wheels also means added weight as well.

I have king suspension set to around 3 inch. It's just the fact the truck will downshift on the slightest incline on the highway after the tires were put on. This wrecked my mpg. Was planning on regearing but we just bought a house

Did the cmc and weld pinch. The wheels was -12 offset and I got 1.25 spacers so 275 might work with out a chop

I recently acquired a set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers at 285/75/16. I have a stock 2018 TRD Off Road DCLB with stock tires 265/70/16 but want to put the Nittos on. Went to a shop out here to mount one seeing if it would rub, and they said it was roughly 2mm away from my control arm. By a long shot, does any one have 285/75/16 on stock 2018 TRD OffRoad suspension and if so, are you experiencing any rub?

Awesome looking truck, what are you running for tires and rims? Which spacer? CMC? Sry for going so far back, going through this entire thread and I like this look/stance the most yet. Thanks!

I'm just curious if any one who has just installed tires, has done a speedo recalibration as the tire size stored in the pcm can affect shift points due to engine rpms vs the speed sensor reading, this also could change your mpgs, being that you new tires are bigger they make less reveloutions which is less miles on the odometer and average goes down, now if it is corrected over a full tank of gas then more miles would show on the odometer and the average mpgs would be higher without changing gears
