how do you like the spacers? Any pro's or cons to them? I picked up my 2017 pro this week and like the look of the stock rims but want them to poke out of the wheel well a little and am not sure if I want to do spacers or not. I plan on installing LT 285/70/17 TA/KO 2's but have mixed feelings about the rims. I was thinking about wheel spacers or a -12 offset, and found rims that I like with that offset, but dont want to ruin the bearings or have rubbing. I do some mild offroading and camping, but mostly use it on the road.

Stock pro suspension so about a 1” lift as of right now. A very small amount of rubbing when going in reverse and wheels cranked.

    KO2 285/75/16 - no spacers

New 2.5 coils arriving this weekend which was a decision mainly for off-roading. Small rub on streets wasn’t a huge deal to me but to each their own.

In reality the spacers will not ruin your truck. Not immediately at least. Keep in mind i have 64,600 miles now and just recently took my spacers off. Had The spacers on since mile 5.

i drove all the way from San Diego to the mountains of British Columbia all the way through Deadhorse Ak. On the spidertrax wheel spacers. If that doesnt give you enough confidence... then dont throw them on.
I did it for the stance too. It looked fuckin sick with the little bit of poke.

I got my lift off headstrongoffroad.com. it's a 2.5" old man emu with 886 front coils and hs 3 leaf add a leaf in the rear (left the overload spring in). I also added 1/4" spacers on the front to get the full 3" of lift so the truck sits level.

    Revtec diff drop

Old man emu carrier bearing drop kit

    Jba upper control arms.

Replaced the needle bearing with the ecgs clamshell bushing while everything was apart.

    1 1/4" Spidertrax Wheel Spacers

    Tires are 285/75/16's.

Truck rides smooth and doesnt rub at all. Didnt have to do any trimming just took the front mud flap off.

do you have any pictures down the side of the truck? I am wondering how much the tires poke out the wheel well without playing with the spacing. I was planning on doing the revtek 427AP 1.5" lift for the pro that keeps the stock suspension and might be keeping the stock trd pro 16" rims... still playing with ideas

Cool now that you have new wheels what would you say the right offset backspacing etc one should get to clear the 285’s without the spidertrax

Anyone on here running 0 offset and/or 4.5” backspacing with 285s? Spacers/no spacers, CMC?

Debating getting a set of 255/80/17 now and a 2” lift later on, versus getting the lift now and 285/75’s later.
Just curious as to what others have had to do to get the 285’s to fit with that much backspacing, as it’s a bit more than the Pro wheels which seem to fit 285s without a whole lot of modification.

Only two as of lately that I have. I also have 1.25” spacers which aren’t installed yet that I would recommend. That or a small negative offset

Good to know! Any guess as to what might rub first if you were 1” lower, or on stock UCA’s? Have you maxed out caster to get away from the cab mounts like others mention?
