Got these housings for fair price & have Morimoto D2S Elite kit with 35w ballasts and 5500k bulbs on the way. No halos, didn't really want any. Would've just not hooked the halos up if they did.

More pics when on the truck..............

What type of halo rings are you using? That's the last thing I need to pick up for my build. I want an 80mm color changing with a remote and I can't figure out what brand to go with

I would appreciate any input, Was going to put 6" KC lights behind my grill after mocking it up didn't like the set up and after trolling around TW found out about retrofitting, I'm HOOKED! I've sort of convinced myself I can do this but have some questions...

thinking about morimoto D2S III w/ panamera shroud, Would like amber angle eyes both on front and in shroud, saw how to install but can't find any thing on how to wire them?? What are ring sizes 80mm and 100mm? Does it have to act as my turn signal?? I would rather keep stock turn signal for reliability reasons.
How do I smoke my reflector light coat of paint on reflector itself?? Any easier install setups in general??
Sorry if these are dumb questions

    Nah, not dumb questions.

1)For ambers only, you will wire the black wire to ground and amber signal wire to any 12v source. Both halos will have their own resistor box but both can be wired to the same 12v source.

    2) 80m front and 110m in the back.

    3) It does not have to act as your turn signals if you don't want it to. Just wire it to a constant 12v source. If you want, you can have it blink with your turn signals also.

    4) You can paint your reflectors when you have your headlights apart with spray paint or whatever you choose to.

    5) Easiest to install is either Mini d2s or mini h1s. Fxr is a little harder, not much though. I recommend mini d2s or h1s if it's your first time.

    6) check out the link in my sig to save 25%

Appreciate the response! follow up to your answer #3, if I wire to 12v (i.e. battery) By resistor box does that mean halos can operate separately from each other? both on, one on, none on, and so forth, if so what turns them on and off? (I see what your saying that I don't have to pull power from turn signal, unless I want to us halo as one)
Also for projector install sounds like I may need some epoxy on hex nut once installed but thats it? I shouldn't need to use any steel stick or JB weld other than on inner halo install?
That 25% off kind of convinced me to do it myself instead of saving up and paying for someone else to do it, quality won't be as good but I'll enjoy the product more! PM'd Andrew about some of the product support but didn't want to bug him with my questions about stuff like this. Again thanks for the knowledge

So both 80m and 110m halos have their own resistor box like so
(this is v1 version but v2 is very similiar)

One end plugs into your halos and the other end to your 12v source. If you want it operate separately, you have to use 2 different 12v source OR both halos on their own switch.

As for projectors, the hex nut and projector shaft was designed to deform when tighten. However a dab of jb kwik weld where the nut touches the reflector would be ideal. Just in case. That's it for that! Remember glue it after you triple check your alignment.

I used three tiny dab of jb kwik weld when I did my inner halos on both of my retrofits as well as a few other builds.

    Andrew doesn't answer to PMs.

Need to get better pictures this weekend, and I need my lift and wheels.

What are you guys using to protect your expensive ass headlights? I'm thinking u should invest in a clear bra for them.

I want to put 3m/Laminix on mine. But before doing so, I wanna make sure it's 200% moisture free. So far it is! :fingerscrossed:

Yeah....Heard bad stories about them. I may take care of it and wax it often. After I'm satisfied, I or someone will clear bra it

You using regular carnauba wax or plastic specific wax?
